On Friday, October 18, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh hosted a reception at Buckingham Palace for “…Youth, Education and the Commonwealth…” according to the British royal court. Well, it sure was quite a busy day for Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal.
Today, the princess visited the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead, West Sussex where she “…opened the Paediatric Ward and Operating Theatres…” according to the British royal court.
The Princess Royal also visited the Royal Marines School of Music, the Block Mills as well as opened the Portsmouth Citizens Advice Bureau in, well, Portsmouth.

On October 17, 2013, His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales arrived at the Imperial College in London to officially open the Royal British Legion Centre for Blast Injury Studies.
According to the official website for Imperial College the new center is:
“…the first collaboration of its kind in the United Kingdom, where civilian engineers and scientists work alongside military doctors, supported by charitable funding to reduce the effects of roadside bombs and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).”

On Thursday, October 17, 2013, His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge participated in his first investiture “…on behalf of The Queen…” at Buckingham Palace in London.
According to Kensington Palace, during this afternoon’s special event the duke presented “…Wimbledon champion Andy Murray [with the] Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) medal.”

On the evening of October 15, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh accompanied by Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex hosted a reception at Buckingham Palace in London for “…Members of Parliament and Members of European Parliament…” according to the British royal court.
On Wednesday, October 16, 2013, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall attended the British Food Fortnight’s Harvest Festival celebration held at Westminster Abbey. According to the newspaper, Newham Recorder, today’s event is “…being staged as part of British Food Fortnight’s campaign to rekindle the tradition of celebrating the harvest.”
Her Royal Highness also held a meeting with Her Royal Highness Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands this afternoon at Clarence House.
