Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal Visits the Brighton & Hove Carers Centre.

Princess Anne, Princess RoyalOn Thursday, January 16, 2014, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal arrived in Hove, East Sussex, to attend the 25th anniversary celebrations of the Brighton & Hove Carers Centre (BHCC).

The BHCC  is a “…local charity which exists to support anyone caring for a partner, relative, or friend who needs help because of illness, disability, substance misuse or old age.”

On January 17, 2014, it was announced by Clarence House that His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales has “…completed his attachment to 3 Regiment Army Corps and will now take up a Staff Officer role in HQ London District…”

The press release goes on to state that the:

“…Prince will take the position of SO3 (Defence Engagement). His responsibilities will include helping to co-ordinate significant projects and commemorative events involving the Army in London. Prince Harry will retain the rank of Captain and be based from Horse Guards, in Central London.

Prince Harry spent three and a half years in training and operational service with the Apache Force during his attachment to the Army Air Corps.

Lieutenant Colonel Tom de la Rue, who commanded Prince Harry in the Army Air Corps said: ‘Captain Wales has reached the pinnacle of flying excellence as an Apache pilot, particularly in Afghanistan and, in the process, has proved to be a real inspiration to the many Army Air Corps officers and soldiers who have come to know him so well over the last two years.’”

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh Become Great-Grandparents for the Fourth Time. (VIDEO)

QEII and DOE 2012On Friday, January 17, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh became great-grandparents for the fourth time when their granddaughter, Mrs. Michael Tindall (Zara Phillips), gave birth to a healthy baby girl.

Per the British royal court:

“THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT IS ISSUED BY THE PRESS SECRETARY
TO THE QUEEN

Mrs Michael Tindall today safely delivered a baby girl at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. Mr Tindall was present at the birth. The weight of the baby was albs 12oz.

The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal, Captain Mark Phillips and Mike’s parents, Mr. Phillip and Mrs. Linda Tindall, have been informed and are delighted with the news. The baby’s name will be confirmed in due course.

This baby is the first child for Zara and Mike, the third grandchild for The Princess Royal and the fourth great-grandchild for The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, and is 16th line to the Throne.”

AnneOn Tuesday, January 14, 2014, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal visited the Saltaire Brewery in Shipley, West Yorkshire where she “…unveiled a celebration brew made in her honor and unveiled an commemorative plaque…” according to ITV News.

News Regarding His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge. (VIDEOS)

On Tuesday, January 7, 2014, His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge arrived at St. John’s College at the University of Cambridge to begin his 10-week executive program in Agricultural Management.   

According to Kensington Palace the program:

“…is organized by the Cambridge Program for Sustainability Leadership at the University of Cambridge.  The course [which consists of seminars, lectures and meetings] has been designed to help provide The Duke with an understanding of contemporary issues affecting agricultural business and rural communities in the United Kingdom…”
