On March 15, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for an official visit. The purpose of the visit is to strengthen bilateral ties with the country.

According to the official website for The Prince of Wales during their visit the royal couple will:

“…visit military links between Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom Armed Forces, opportunities for women in Saudi society, education, faith and commercial partnerships.

While in Riyadh, Their Royal Highnesses will meet members of the Saudi parliament, known as the Majlis Ash-Shura, including the institution’s recently appointed first women members. The program in Jeddah will include a visit to the headquarters of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.”

On March 14, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall continued their official visit to Qatar.

This morning the prince attended the Qatar-United Kingdom Alumni Network reception, attended a meeting with Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser as well as with the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani, toured the Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP) and visited the Msheireb Enrichment Center.

Meanwhile, the duchess visited the Amna Mahmoud Al Jeddah Primary School, met with “…women participating in the Al Johara project…” and much more.

In the late afternoon, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visited the Katara Cultural Village in Doha.

On March 14, 2013, His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh attended a Service at the Guards’ Chapel to “…commemorate the 175th Anniversary of the Soldiers and Airmen’s Scripture Readers Association in London.”

On March 13, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall arrived in Doha, Qatar for an official visit. The purpose of the visit is to “…strengthen the United Kingdom’s bilateral relations with Qatar…”

Upon their arrival at the Doha International Airport the royal couple were warmly greeted by the Minister of State, His Highness Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Saud Al Thani, as well as other important officials.

Afterwards, the royal couple visited the Museum of Islamic Art. The prince and duchess were given a “… private viewing and a meeting with the Emir’s eldest daughter, Sheikha Mayassa, before a reception at the museum for contributors to the Qatar-UK Year of Culture 2013.”

TRHs The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall Visit Jordan: Day 3. (VIDEOS)

On March 13, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall continued their three-day official visit to Jordan.

This afternoon the royal couple visited a Syrian refugee camp at the King Abdullah Park in Ramtha. The camp, which houses roughly 1,000 people, is run by UNICEF, the UN and Save the Children charity. The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall also visited Jerash where they were given a guided tour of the ancient city. The Prince of Wales also attended the Mosaic Enterprise Challenge reception in Amman.

The day concluded with brief meeting with Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan as well as “…other senior officials.”

On March 13, 2013, His Royal Highness The Duke of York visited Tech City in East London. During his visit the duke “…met a selection of entrepreneurs and company founders… Tech City encompasses the network of more than 1,300 digital or creative businesses and technology start-ups concentrated in the area east of Old Street roundabout.”
