Random Royal News Regarding Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco and Her Royal Highness Princess Mathilde of Belgium

As you may know by now His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco was in Norway where he gave a speech during the opening of the 2012 World Indigenous Television Broadcasting Conference (WITCB).

During the conference the sovereign prince spoke in front of a packed audience from around the world regarding the importance of “…protecting the Arctic and biodiversity.”

Through his personal foundation, Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco, the prince created a fund worth 100,000 Euros to safeguard and develop Reindeer; moreover, Prince Albert II “…signed an agreement with International Centre for Reindeer Husbandry (ICR)…”

Any way, as the princely couple were leaving the Diehtosiida Auditorium, where the WITC was held, the Norwegian network, NRK, asked Princess Charlene about her visit to Lapland, “… it was a wonderful experience!” as she smiled broadly.

Meanwhile, Her Royal Highness Princess Mathilde of Belgium is currently in Albania as a special representative for the World Health Organization (WHO).  The purpose of her visit is to promote the importance of vaccination and to “…highlight the work of the WHO health professionals 2012 vaccination campaign.”

During her visit to Albania Princess Mathilde will meet with local dignitaries, visit various community health centers as well as various schools.

Random Royal News Regarding His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco and Her Royal Highness Princess Mathilde of Belgium

On March 22, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the 2012 EVER Monaco Trade Show held at the Grimaldi Forum.  This well-known exhibition and conference is dedicated to promoting as well as showcasing:

Ecological Vehicles such as electric, hybrid, fuel cell, gas, biofuels as well as any mode of propulsion offering real ecological and resource advantages.  And, to Renewable Energies (respect of the environment and energy-saving).  The conference brings together specialists in the field in the ecological vehicles, renewable energies and sustainable development.

Meanwhile, Her Royal Highness Princess Mathilde of Belgium celebrated the 55th anniversary of the Queen Astrid Clinic in Malmedy.  Whilst there the future queen of Belgium met with hospital staff as well as patients.

Random Royal News Regarding His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium and Their Serene Highness Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco (VIDEO)

His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium presented grants from the Lauréat du Fonds Prince Albert on March 20, 2012, to several Belgian professionals.  The presentation was held at the Federation of Enterprises of Belgium in Brussels.

The purpose of the Lauréat du Fonds Prince Albert is to help talented Belgian professionals build experience in the operation of an international project, by financially supporting recipients for a 12-month business project outside Western Europe for a Belgian company or whose headquarters are in Belgium.  Did that make sense?   🙂  Good.

Meanwhile in Monaco, Their Serene Highness Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene inaugurated a new daycare center in Monte-Carlo.  The princely couple were accompanied by the mayor of Monaco, Mr. Georges Marsan, and the Minister of State, Mr. Michel Roger.

His Royal Highness Prince Laurent of Belgium Attends the Opening of the Festival of Arts and Cultural Calamartes

On March 12, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Laurent of Belgium opened the Festival of Arts and Culture Calamartes organized by the University of Antwerp.

The event, which allegedly attracts over 2,000 visitors each year since its formation four years ago, promotes the arts and student artists… or something like that.   🙂

Any way… the Festival of Arts and Culture Calamartes ends on March 17, 2012 so if you happen to be anywhere near the University of Antwerp in the near future why not visit the event.

Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium on an Economic Mission to Vietnam (VIDEO)

On March 12, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium continued their economic mission to Vietnam.

The royal couple, along with their business delegation, are in southeast Asian country to promote “economic ties” as well as to promote a positive image of Belgium in Vietnam.

Today, Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde were in Hanoi where they participated in a wreath laying ceremony at the “…mausoleum of the late Vietnamese revolutionary leader Ho Chi Minh…”

Afterward, Prince Philippe met with President Truong Tan Sang at the presidential palace while Princess Mathilde visited a health care center.  In the evening, the royal couple attended a gala dinner.

Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium on an Economic Mission to Vietnam

On March 10, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium began their six-day economic mission to Vietnam.

The visit, organized by the Agency for International Trade in collaboration with AWEX, Flanders Investments & Trade, and Brussels Invest & Export, aims to promote a positive image of Belgium according to the royal court, La Monarchie Belge.

Their Majesties King Albert II and Queen Paola of Belgium Visit the town of Waremme (VIDEOS)

On March 7, 2012, Their Majesties King Albert II and Queen Paola of Belgium visited the town of Waremme in the province of Liège.

The reigning couple were welcomed to the town by the Mayor, Guy Coëme, and Minister of Education, Ms. Marie-Dominique Simonet at the City Hall.  Whilst there Their Majesties, along with local dignitaries, celebrated the 25th anniversary the Conseil Communal des Enfants “… created in 1987 it was the first of its kind in Belgium…” according to various sources.

Afterward, King Albert II and Queen Paola visited the Bettincourt Language Immersion School where they interacted with students who are currently learning Dutch “…until their fourth year of primary education.”
