Royal News Regarding His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias and His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium.

On the afternoon of Tuesday, September 25, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias held audiences with representatives from the Asociación Nacional de Centros Promotores de Excelencia (CEX) as well as “…representatives participating in the 6th Edition of the Programa de Visitantes “Futuros Líderes Chinos.”

Meanwhile in Brussels, His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium participated in an academic meeting of the Conseil Fédéral du Développement Durable “… in honor of the outgoing President of the Conseil, Mr. Theo Rombouts…” held at the Palais d’Egmont.

His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium Meets the Space Shuttle Atlantis Crew.

On September 25, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium met the crew members from the space shuttle Atlantis at the Palais de Bruxelles.

“Exactly 20 years ago, the crew orbited the earth for nine days aboard the space shuttle Atlantis for scientific experiments. Our compatriot, Viscount Dirk Frimout, participated in this mission as “payload specialist”, became the first Belgian astronaut.

The crew is in Belgium in the framework of Space Week 2012, an initiative of the association Euro Space Society, which  the chair Viscount Frimout.”

His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium Attends the 27th Symposium on Fusion Technology (SOFT).

On September 24, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium attended the opening session of the 27th Symposium on Fusion Technology (SOFT) held at the Palais des Congrès in Liège.

The four-day conference brings together international researchers and scientists to:

“… exchange information on design, construction and operation of fusion experiments and on the technology for present fusion machines, the next step and future power plants.”

Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium Attend the Re-Opening of Théâtre Royal de Liège.

On the evening of September 19, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium were in Liège to attend the re-opening of the Théâtre Royal de Liège.

Anyway, the royal couple along with hundreds of guests, enjoyed a performance of the opera “Stradella” by the late composer, Mr. César Franck.

Royal News Regarding Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium.

On September 17, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium was at the Square Brussels Meeting Center in Brussels to participate in an “…academic session organized by the Fédération des Entreprises de Belgique Forum 2012 in honour of Mr Rudi Thomaes and Pieter Timmermans. Mr Timmermans succeeded Mr. Thomaes as Managing Director of the FEB.”

Meanwhile, Her Royal Highness Princess Mathilde was at the Collège Saint-Hubert in Watermael-Boitsfort to participate in a roundtable discussion regarding the “…problems of literacy as well as reading and writing in Europe.  The debate takes place in light of a recent publication by the European Commission and a new report from a group of high level literacy experts.”

 

Random Royal News Regarding Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands and His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium.

On September 12, 2012, at the Paleis Noordeinde Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands was presented with credentials from various ambassadors from Luxembourg, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.

Meanwhile, this evening in Brussels, His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium attended the 2012-2012 academic year of the Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School.  The event was held at the Square Brussels Meeting Center according to La Monarchie Belge.

His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium Attends the Opening of a New Project for At Risk Youths. (VIDEO)

His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium was in Hasselt this afternoon to attend the presentation of the new project entitled, Youth at Risk-Vlaanderen (YAR).

According to La Monarchie Belge, the project offers sixteen at risk youths who have “… come into contact with the justice system…” guidance and a chance to get their life back on track.  A representative from YAR notes:

“There are regular personal meetings and conversations. Together with our partners, businesses, socio-cultural organizations and local authorities, we create a network around the young people that supports them in realizing their independence route.”

YAR also helps these youths by helping them find a job, housing and more.
