On February 25, 2014, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited the Flemish media corporation, MEDIALAAN in Vilvoorde. This year the media giant is celebrating their 25th anniversary.
During today’s visit Their Majesties met with staff, toured the VTM KZOOM studios as well as the newsroom, unveiled a plaque, and much more.
Later in the afternoon, His Majesty held an audience with the President of Haiti, Mr. Michel Martelly.

On the morning of February 25, 2014, His Royal Highness Prince Laurent of Belgium arrived at the Brussels Expo to attend the 55th Edition of BATIBOUW.
The BATIBOUW is an “…annual building, renovation and decoration exhibition and fair…”

Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium Visit Rome, Italy. (VIDEOS)
On Wednesday, February 19, 2014, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium accompanied by the Belgian Prime Minister, Mr. Elio Di Rupo, and the Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Didier Reynders, arrived in Rome, Italy for an official one-day visit.
Upon their arrival at Palazzo del Quirinale Their Majesties were warmly welcomed by the President of Italy, Mr. Giorgio Napolitano and other government officials. After the inspection of the guards Their Majesties and President Napolitano posed for the press inside the Palazzo.
In the afternoon, Their Majesties arrived at the Palazzo Giustiniani where they held a meeting with the President of the Italian Senate, Mr. Pietro Grasso.

Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium Attend a Special Mass at the Église Notre-Dame de Laeken.
On Tuesday, February 18, 2014, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium accompanied by King Albert II and Queen Paola of Belgium, and His Royal Highness Prince Laurent of Belgium attended a special Mass at the Église Notre-Dame de Laeken to remember “…deceased members of the Belgian royal family…”

Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium Visit Berlin, Germany. (VIDEOS)
On the morning of Monday, February 17, 2014, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium accompanied by the Prime Minister of Belgium, Mr. Elio Di Rupo, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Didier Reynders, arrived in Berlin, Germany for a one-day official visit.
Upon their arrival at Schloss Bellevue the reigning couple were warmly welcomed by the President of Germany, Mr. Joachim Gauck, and his longtime companion, Ms. Daniela Schadt. After the official welcoming ceremony and the inspection of the guards President Gauck ushered Their Majesties into Schloss Bellevue where they signed the guest book and posed for the media.
In the afternoon, Their Majesties visited the famous Brandenburg Gate, attended a conference in which discussions focused on strengthening economic ties between Belgium and Germany, and held a meeting with the Chancellor of Germany, Ms. Angela Merkel.

On Sunday, February 16, 2014, His Royal Highness Prince Amedeo of Belgium, Archduke of Austria-Este and his fiancée, Miss Elisabetta Maria Rosboch von Wolkenstein, posed for the press at Villa Schonenberg in Brussels.
Accompanying the newly engaged couple were Their Imperial and Royal Highnesses Princess Astrid of Belgium, Archduchess of Austria-Este and Prince Lorenz of Belgium, Archduke of Austria-Este, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium along with their children, King Albert II and Queen Paola of Belgium, Countess Lilia de Smecchia and Nobile Ettore Rosboch von Wolkenstein, and other members of the Belgian royal family.
