On Tuesday, May 6, 2014, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium held an audience with famed Belgian jazz musician, Mr. Jean-Baptiste “Toots” Thielemans, and his wife, Huguette Thielemans, at Château de Laeken in Brussels.

In 2006, Mr. Thielemans received the title of Baron from His Majesty King Albert II of Belgium.

On the evening of Tuesday, April 29, 2014, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium arrived in Oslo, Norway for a one-day official visit.

This morning Their Majesties held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Norway, Ms. Erna Solberg, and with the President of the Norwegian Parliament, Mr. Olemic Thommesen.

In the afternoon, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium accompanied by Their Majesties King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway visited the Norsk Folkemuseum in Bygdøy. Thereafter, Their Majesties arrived at the royal palace in Oslo where they attended a luncheon held in their honor and hosted by Their Majesties King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway as well as by Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway.

On April 29, 2014, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium arrived in Stockholm, Sweden for a one-day official visit.

The day began with a visit to the royal palace where Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden, and His Royal Highness Prince Carl Philip of Sweden warmly welcomed the Belgian king and queen to Stockholm.

Thereafter, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde toured the city, and met with various Swedish government officials including the Speaker of the Riksdag, Mr. Per Westerberg.
