His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Opens the 12th Edition of the Top Marques Supercar Show.

On Thursday, April 16, 2015, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco opened the 12th Edition of the Top Marques Supercar Show held at the Grimaldi Forum in Monte-Carlo, Monaco.

This fantastic as well as unique four-day event is the “…most exclusive, live supercar show in the world. Top Marques Monaco brings the High Net Worth buyers to the car manufacturers and the cars to the buyers, who can get behind the wheel for a test drive on the Monaco Grand Prix circuit. “

According to a press release, via Top Marques Monaco, during today’s the sovereign prince:

“..unveiled seven world launches to an international press of 200-plus from more than 30 countries.  Amongst the state-of-the-art vehicles uncovered by the Prince in the Espace Ravel of the Grimaldi Forum included the electric supercar Toroidion 1MW and Alpha Armouring’s Alpha Phoneix, a bullet-proof version of the Mercedes G.

(VIDEO) TIMs Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan Offer Prayers of Thanks.

On the morning of Thursday, April 16, 2015, Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan visited the Musashino Imperial Graveyard in Hachiōji, Tokyo, Japan.

According to ANN News, the purpose of today’s visit was to offer prayers of thanks to “…Emperor Hirohito, following their (Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko’s) recent visit to Palau to commemorate those who lost their lives there during World War II…”

Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco Presents an Award.

On Wednesday, April 15, 2015, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco presented Serbian tennis star, Mr. Novak Djokovic, with the 2015 Laureus World Sportsman of the Year at the Sporting de Monte-Carlo in lovely Monaco.

Mr. Djokovic received the award because, well, he’s pretty awesome at playing tennis as well as basically being an overall super cool dude.

And, that’s it.   🙂

(VIDEO) News Regarding His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain.

On Tuesday, April 14 , 2015, His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain attended a dinner held on the occasion of the opening of the 15th Global Summit of World Travel and Tourism held at the El Casino de Madrid in Madrid, Spain.

This morning His Majesty arrived in Brussels, Belgium, where he visited the European Parliament.  During today’s visit His Majesty King Felipe VI held a meeting with the European Parliament’s President, Mr. Martin Schulz.  He also met with “…one of the political group leaders to discuss various political issues. The King also took the opportunity to meet with Spanish MEPs.  Later in the day, His Majesty visited the European Council…” notes the official website for the European Parliament.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh Host a Luncheon.

On Wednesday, April 15, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh hosted a luncheon at Windsor Castle for members of the Order of Merit.

According to the British royal court the Order of Merit was:

“…founded by King Edward VII at the time of his coronation in 1902, to be ‘given to such persons, subjects of Our Crown, as may have rendered exceptionally meritorious services in Our Crown Services or towards the advancement of the Arts, Learning, Literature, and Science or such other exceptional service as We are fit to recognize’.

The Order of Merit is in the sole gift of the Sovereign and is restricted to 24 members as well as additional foreign recipients.

The badge is an eight-pointed cross of red and blue enamel surmounted by the imperial crown; in the centre, upon blue enamel and surrounded by a laurel wreath, are the words in gold lettering ‘For Merit’.”

Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark Unveils a New Portrait of Herself.

On Tuesday, April 14, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark unveiled yet another new portrait of herself at the famous Nationalmuseet in Copenhagen.  The interesting new painting entitled, At Skabe Billeder af Billeder, was created by Danish-born Barcelona-based artist, Mr. Lars Physant.

According to a press release via the Nationamuseet, the painting:

“…embraces the Queen’s deep interest in archeology and links a special bond to Gorm the Old and Harald Bluetooth.

Queen [is] sitting in her favorite reading corner at Fredensborg Slot with an open book, about archeology, on her lap. On the wall behind her one sees from the bird’s-eye view, a plan of the monuments at Jelling, when the first kings traveled more than 1,000 years ago…

The portrait is divided into 12 different fields and surfaces painted on wood with relief structure in which each field is its own universe…”
