On Monday, February 16, 2015, Their Majesties King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain presided over the Premios Nacionales de Cultura held at the Palacio Real de El Pardo in Madrid.
On Monday, February 16, 2015, Their Majesties King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain presided over the Premios Nacionales de Cultura held at the Palacio Real de El Pardo in Madrid.
On Thursday, February 12, 2015, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands arrived at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam to open the highly anticipated exhibition, Late Rembrandt.
The exhibition showcases:
“…100 of the paintings, drawings and prints that Rembrandt produced in the final phase of his life… Rembrandt’s later life was marked by tragic personal loss and financial setbacks. Yet it was also the time when he produced his best work. He experimented with paint and light, managing to bring an unprecedented emotional depth to his work. It resulted in his most daring and intimate work.”
Late Rembrandt will be open to the public until May 17, 2015.

On February 11, 2015, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall visited the 4th Battalion, The Rifles, at Bulford Camp in Wiltshire, England.
According to Clarence House, today’s visit:
“…marked Her Royal Highnesses’s last visit to the regiment at their current base, before they move to new headquarters at Aldershot later this year. The Duchess [also] toured the Vehicle Instruction Shed, where she was shown some of the armoured vehicles used by the regiment.
Her Royal Highness inspected the vehicles, before hopping in to a Jackall and later a Mastiff, both used by the British Army.
The Duchess [then] moved on to the on-site Boxing Gym, where she met a number of Boxers who had competed against the Parachute Regiment in a boxing match in Colchester last night.
Her Royal Highness climbed through the ropes to talk to two of the men who had just been taking part in a boxing demonstration.
Moving outside, The Duchess met the Support Company, who talked through some of the armoury that they are currently using.
Ending her visit, The Duchess, who was wearing her regimental green coat and brooch, joined servicemen and women and their families for a reception in the Barrack Hub.”

On Wednesday, February 11, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited the Perce-Neige, a therapeutic day center for children with disabilities, in Jambes.
On Wednesday, February 11, 2015, His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium visited the project, OpBoksen, in Genk. The purpose of the project, created by former Olympic boxer Mr. Abdel Wahhabi, is to empower socially vulnerable young people through the sport of boxing.

On Tuesday, February 10, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of Belgium arrived at the Kinepolis in Brussels to attend the screening of the 2012 film, Disconnect, directed by Mr. Henry-Alex Rubin.
The film “…explores the consequences of modern technology and how it affects and defines our daily relationships…”

On February 10, 2015, Their Majesties King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Hospital Nacional de Parapléjicos in Toledo, Spain.
During today’s celebrations Their Majesties met with staff and patients as well as unveiled a plaque commemorating today’s event.
