On the morning of January 20, 2014, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands welcomed the President of France, Mr. François Hollande, to Paleis Noordeinde in Amsterdam.

The purpose of President Hollande and his delegation’s visit to the Netherlands is to strengthen bilateral and economic ties between to two countries.

After the official welcoming ceremony Their Majesties ushered President Hollande into Paleis Noordeinde where they posed for official photos for the press.

In the afternoon, Their Majesties hosted a luncheon in honor of President Hollande at the Paleis where speeches were made and tons of toasts.  An hour or so later, President Hollande and his delegation were off to participate in several meetings with various Dutch government officials as well as with influential Dutch businessmen.
