On the evening of January 24, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan participated in a panel discussion entitled, The Global Development Outlook, during the 43rd World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Joining Her Majesty during yesterday’s panel were the British Prime Minister, Mr. David Cameron, philanthropist and Microsoft co-founder, Mr. Bill Gates, and the Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki-moon to name a few.

On Thursday, January 24, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II visited the Sandringham Women’s Institute meeting held fat the West Newton Village Hall in Norfolk. Her Majesty is Honorary President of this organization.
Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturiasvisited Felechosa in Asturias to attend the inauguration of the retirement home, Complejo Residencial de Mayores La Minería, on January 24, 2013. During their visit the royal couple toured the facility, met with staff as well as the residents.
Later in the afternoon, the prince and princess were in Oviedo where they attended a luncheon commemorating the 125th anniversary of the Oftalmológico Fernández-Vega.
On January 24, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visited the City & Guilds of London Art School During their visit the royal couple, toured the Historic Carving Department and the Conservation Department where they “…learned about the specialist training provided to young restoration and conservation professionals…” according to the official website for The Prince of Wales.
The royal couple also visited the St Anselm’s Church where they learned about “…the community charity project Pathways at Kennington Cross, which aims to help deprived people in the area by creating a new community hub through redeveloping of the St Anselm’s church.”
And, finally, The Prince of Wales visited the Surrey County Cricket Club, where he “… inspected the work to the new frontage of the Pavilion and met the craftsmen as well as builders working on the £2 million project…”

Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, along with Their Royal Highnesses Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands and representatives of a Dutch trade delegation, began their brief state visit to Singapore.
The purpose of the trip is to strengthen economic and bilateral ties between the Netherlands and Singapore.
The day began with an official welcoming ceremony at Istana palace with President Tony Tan Keng Yam and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. Afterward, Her Majesty along with the prince and princess “…visited the Urban Redevelopment Authority City Gallery to learn about the development of Singapore’s urban landscape” according to Channel News Asia.
In the evening, the royal family along with their trade delegation attended a gala state banquet held in their honor at Istana palace.

And, finally, the Petra News Agency is reporting that His Majesty spoke with French President, Mr. François Hollande, today regarding “… bilateral ties as well as regional developments.”
On January 23, 2013, Their Majesties King Albert II and Queen Paola of Belgium hosted a reception at the Palais de Bruxelles for representatives of the European Commission.
