Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands Attends the 60th Anniversary of the Maastricht School of Management.

On Wednesday, September 5, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands attended the 60th anniversary  celebrations of the Maastricht School of Management in Maastricht.

According to RVD, the school has:

“… its roots in the Research Institute for Business Studies established in 1952 (EB) at the Technical University of Delft. In 1989, the Institute moved to Maastricht, and 1990 the new campus was opened by His Royal Highness Prince Claus. In 1993 the school officially changed its name to the Maastricht School of Management (MsM).

The school offers internationally recognized English management education for students from developing countries. Approximately 2,000 students, from more than 25 countries, annually receives a MsM-diploma or certificate. In addition to management, education research, and consultancy the Institute is also involved in the area of food-and water management and the relationship of business, security and governance.”

Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands Participates in a Meeting at the Rijksmuseum.

On September 4, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands participated in a meeting held at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.  According to RVD, the princess gave a speech in:

“… her capacity as special advocate of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in the fields of Inclusive Finance for Development.  The theme of today’s meeting was the accessibility, digital developments, relevance and transparency of services and products will benefit people worldwide…” 

Over three hundreds guests attended the meeting including the CEO of Royal Philips Electronics, Mr. Frans van Houten.

Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands Visits the Centraal Militair Hospitaal (CMH).

Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands was in Utrecht this afternoon to visit patients at the Centraal Militair Hospitaal (CMH).

The princess also had a chance to speak with “… medical specialists, nurses and other employees…” She also spent a particular amount of time with “… soldiers injured in Afghanistan” according to RVD.

Princess Maxima also toured the “…Emergency Hospital which is a joint venture between the Centraal Militair Hospitaal and the University Medical Center Utrecht (UMC).”

His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales Attends the 2012 WellChild Awards in London. (VIDEOS)

On Monday, September 3, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales attended the 2012 WellChild Awards in London. According to the Telegraph newspaper, the prince is:

“… patron of this UK-based charity [which] is dedicated to the needs of sick children and their families, whose children’s nurses provide specialist medical care and direct support in the home for chronically ill youngsters.”

On September 3, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Constantijn of the Netherlands was at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. The prince was asked to give a speech during the “… opening of the academic school year for 2012-2013.”

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Celebrates the 68th Anniversary of the Liberation of Monaco.

On September 2, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco celebrated the 68th anniversary of the liberation of Monaco.  On the place du Palais there was a lovely exhibition showcasing various “…vehicles, weapons, clothing, and other unique items…”

In the evening there was a gala dance featuring jazz artists such as the Charly Vaudano Quintet.  Tomorrow the sovereign prince will participate in a wreath laying ceremony at the “… Monument aux Morts and on the graves of the Monégasque resistance fighters, Rene Borghini and Joseph Lajoux…”
