On November 25, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain, along with Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias, and their daughters, Her Royal Highness Infanta Elena and Her Royal Highness Infanta Cristina and her husband, Mr.Iñaki Urdangarin, visited His Majesty King Juan Carlos I at the Quirón San José Hospital in Madrid.

The old king had surgery on his left hip on Friday and is expected to be released from the hospital within the next three to four days.

Hospital managing director explaining to the press that His Majesty is recovering well and that the old king is able to stand up with the help of crutches.

Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Meet Supporters of the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust. (VIDEO)

On November 24, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met “… supporters and beneficiaries of the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust.”  The duke is patron of this charity.  The royal couple also attended the Wales vs. New Zealand rugby match held at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Attends the 2012 IAAF Award Ceremony.

On November 24, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the 2012 International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) held inside the Grand Ballroom at the Pullman Skipper Hotel in Barcelona, Spain.

During ceremony the sovereign prince presented Mr. Usain Bolt and Ms. Allyson Felix the Male and Female Athlete of the Year award as well as a check for $100,000.

Afterward, Prince Albert II along with those who attended the award ceremony made their way to the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya to attend the IAAF Centenary Gala Show.

His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain Recovering From Hip Surgery. (VIDEO)

His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain is recovering at the Quirón San José Hospital after having surgery on his left hip on Friday.  Earlier this week, His Majesty’s sister, Infanta Doña Pilar de Borbón, stated to the press that the king would have surgery on Wednesday, November 21, 2012.  That was untrue. Obviously.

Any way, the old king is doing well, according to his doctors, and is expected to leave the hospital in 3-4 days.  In the meantime, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain and His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias visited His Majesty at the Quirón San José Hospital last evening.

His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium Visits the Australian War Memorial.

On Friday, November 23, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium continued his eleven-day economic mission to Australia and New Zealand.

This afternoon the prince visited the Australian War Memorial in Canberra where he placed a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, met with the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, Ms. Quentin Bryce, and much more.

Their Royal Highnesses Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands Visit Brazil: Final Day.

On November 23, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands continued their five-day visit to Brazil.

Whilst in Rio de Janeiro the royal couple attended a “… seminar with Dutch yacht builders …” and held a meeting with the president of one of the largest oil companies in the world, Pertobras.
