Get Ready for Another Royal Wedding!!! Yup, His Royal Highness Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg is Engaged!!

Well, it is official.  The last of age heir from a reigning European throne is off the market, ladies!

On April 26, 2012, it was announced by the Cour Grand-Ducale de Luxembourg that His Royal Highness Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg is engaged to Comtesse Stéphanie de Lannoy.

At this time the exact date for the upcoming grand-ducal wedding has yet to be disclosed.

Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands Opens the Exhibition, ‘Dutch Design: Huis van Oranje’, in Oranienbaum, Germany

On April 25, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands was in Oranienbaum, Germany where she attended the inauguration of the exhibition, Dutch Design: Huis van Oranje, held at the newly restored Schloss Oranienbaum.

Her Majesty was accompanied by the President of Germany, Mr. Joachim Gauck, as well as local dignitaries.  According to RVD:

The exhibition includes hand-made pieces such as furniture, jewelry, glass and ceramic utensils, accessories and handmade couture pieces, complemented with various crafts and historic objects from the Royal House Archives. The exhibition was  commissioned and organized by the Kulturstiftung DessauWörlitz, in close cooperation with the Dutch Embassy in Berlin and the Royal House Archives.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh In Greenwich (VIDEOS)

On April 25, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh visited Greenwich where they re-opened the newly restored Cutty Sark.  The queen and the duke also attended the inauguration of the “…Royal River exhibition at the National Maritime Museum…” as well as attended a luncheon.

Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Attend a Documentary Premiere in London (VIDEOS)

On April 25, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the premiere of the documentary, African Cats, held at the BFI Southbank in London, England.

The Disneynature documentary, directed by Mr. Keith Scholey and Mr. Alastair Fothergill, is:

An epic true story set against the backdrop of one of the wildest places on Earth, African Cats captures the reel-life love, humor and determination of the majestic kings of the savanna.  Narrated by Oscar nominated actor Samuel L. Jackson, the story features Mara, an endearing lion cub who strives to grown up with her mother’s strength, spirit and wisdom; Sita, a fearless cheetah, and single mother of five mischievous newborns, and Fang, a proud leader of the pride who must defend his family from a rival lion and his sons.

A New Exhibition Regarding the Late Diana, Princess of Wales Coming to Crappy Long Beach, CA.

It was recently announced in my local crappy newspaper, The Daily Breeze, that a new exhibition about the late Diana, Princess of Wales will make its début aboard the haunted Queen Mary ship in Wrong Long Beach, CA.

The new exhibition entitled, Diana: Legacy of a Princess, A Royal Exhibition, consists of:

… more than 2,000 artifacts – many of them never before showcased – that will feature gowns worn by the princess, letters, designer sketches and other items.

Diana: Legacy of a Princess, A Royal Exhibition opens on June 16, 2012.  Tickets go on sale on May 1, 2012.  For more information about the exhibition please click here.

Their Royal Highnesses Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg: The State Visit to Germany, Day Two

Their Royal Highnesses Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg, along with their delegation, continued their state visit to Germany on April 24, 2012.

This afternoon Grand Duke Henri met with German Chancellor, Ms. Angela Merkel, in Berlin.  According to the official website for the Grand Ducal family of Luxembourg the royal couple also participated in various:

… political, economic, financial and cultural meetings. The subject of climate change is at the centre of the visit to Potsdam and micro-finance in Berlin…

Sounds like fun.
