His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje Opens the National Career Fair in Amsterdam

On March 16, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje opened the 15th Annual National Career Fair held at the RAI in Amsterdam.  After the opening, the prince had a chance to mingled with attendees on the trade show floor.  The purpose of the National Career Fair is to gather “… career orientated students and professionals to get in contact with 160 employers.”

His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales Opens the 2012 Ideal Home Show in London

On March 16, 2012, His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales opened the 2012 Ideal Home Show in Earl’s Court, London.  The heir to the British throne also showcased his own design, The Prince’s House, which highlights the:

…benefits of sustainable, eco-friendly living, this year’s Arts and Crafts House combines wonderful craftsmanship with the use of the finest local materials. The house, which takes its name after the 19th century Arts and Crafts Movement, was designed by a team which included HRH The Prince of Wales, and incorporates energy saving features directly into its design. source

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh Attend the Reopening of Kensington Palace

After a two-year restoration at a cost of $18.8 million dollars the historic Kensington Palace is opened to the public.

On March 15, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh  attended the official reopening where they were given a tour lovely old palace, viewed the “…the new ‘Victoria Revealed exhibition’…” and much more.

Their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, and the Duchess of Cambridge Visit Dulwich Art Gallery (VIDEO)

Their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall along with Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge visited the Dulwich Art Gallery on March 15, 2012.

Per the official website for the Prince of Wales:

Their Royal Highnesses were greeted by hundreds of cheering schoolchildren waving Union flags when they arrived in the bright sunshine in Dulwich.

It was the first time The Duchess of Cambridge had joined her father-in-law The Prince of Wales on a visit to one of his charities.

A spokesperson for Clarence House said they chose to see the work of The Prince’s Foundation for Children and the Arts at Dulwich because of their mutual interest.

The Duchess of Cambridge, who, like The Prince of Wales has a strong interest in art and its benefits to young people,  is Patron of The Art Room and the National Portrait Gallery.

Their Royal Highnesses met children taking part in the Great Art Quest – a programme that introduces young people to local galleries, professional artists and storytellers.

Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge Plays Hockey (VIDEO)

Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge was at the London 2012 Olympic Park playing hockey with Team Great Britain on March 15, 2012.

According to the official website for the Prince of Wales the lovely Duchess was “…team captain as a schoolgirl at Marlborough College, undertook the engagement in her role as an Olympic Ambassador.”

Random Royal News Regarding the Spanish Royal Family

On March 14, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Letizia of Asturias participated in the CNSE Foundation Awards in Madrid, Spain.

The princess was accompanied by Secretary of State for Social Services and Equality, Mr. Juan Moreno and the President of CNSE and the CNSE Foundation, Ms. María Concepción Díaz Robledo.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias held an audience at Zarzuela Palace with professors and graduate students enrolled in the MBA program at Columbia University.

The professors along with the students are on a tour visiting various “… business centers around the world…”  Whilst in Spain they will have a chance to meet with “…senior executives of the Spanish companies, as well as official institutions.”

Finally, His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain held an audience with members of the Junta Directiva de Economía at Zarzuela Palace.  And, that’s it.   🙂

His Serene Highness Hereditary Prince Alois of Liechtenstein Celebrates the 75th Anniversary of the Liechtenstein Gymnasium

On March 14, 2012, His Serene Highness Hereditary Prince Alois of Liechtenstein celebrated the 75th anniversary of the Liechtenstein Gymnasium in Vaduz.  The prince was accompanied by Prime Minister Klaus Tschütscher.

During the celebration, the prince and Prime Minister Tschütscher, along with former teacher Mr. Franz Xaver, participated in a roundtable discussion in the auditorium of the Liechtenstein Gymnasium in front of hundreds of students and faculty.  The trio spoke about the history of the school, education, and much more.
