‘Albert et Charlène: Mariage Princier’ The Book

As I mentioned to you months ago there will be a new book released regarding the princely wedding in Monaco.  Well, the book entitled, Albert et Charlène: Marriage Princier, is finally here.

This new black and white photo book has lots of behind the scenes images of the couple along with their families as well as images from the Jean Michel Jarre concert.

H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco Attends the Golden Podium Awards

On October 11, 2011, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the Golden Podium Awards, presented by Sportel Monaco, held at the Grimaldi Forum in Monte-Carlo.  The prince along with hundreds of CEOs from the world of sports, radio and television as well as famous athletes from around the world enjoyed themselves as they watched the ceremony.

H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco at the 2011 Golden Foot Awards

At the Fairmont Hotel in Monaco this evening H.S.H. Prince Albert II attended the 2011 Golden Foot Awards.  During the gala ceremony the prince awarded Manchester United footballer, Ryan Giggs, the top prize.

H.S.H. Prince Albert II Attends an Awards Ceremony

Last evening H.S.H. Prince Albert II attended the Foundation Prince Albert II de Monaco Awards ceremony held at the Grimaldi Forum.  The prince presented several prominent personalities for their exemplary actions in favor of the environment and saving the planet in the areas of preserving biodiversity, access to water, and to fight against desertification.

Here are the winners:

  • Gretchen Daily (USA), Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from Stanford University, divides his time between scientific research, education, public information, and work with leaders from all walks to advance practical approaches to address environmental Defies. His scientific research focused on the future dynamics of changes in biodiversity. Professor Daily chaired the project “Natural Capital” whose purpose is to support economic incentives to help conservation. This project is developed in various sites around the world where biodiversity is threatened (China, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Tanzania and the United States).
  • Andreas Szollosi-Nagy (Hungary) President of the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education Water, has been instrumental in reforming the teaching of multidisciplinary water resources for the benefit of developing countries. Over the past 17 years, as Governor of the World Water Council, he was instrumental in drawing attention to the issue of water in the world and educate both the general public and policy makers on the subject.
  • David Suzuki (Canada) doctor and president of the David Suzuki Foundation, is a scientist and a renowned environmentalist.World-renowned geneticist, he received numerous awards for its work. His career as a creator and facilitator of programs and films of award-winning popular science earned him constant praise for thirty years.

H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco Attends the 2011 Prix Méditerranéens du Journalisme Awards. Plus, Other News

On October 6, 2011, at the Musée Océanographique de Monaco H.S.H. Prince Albert II attended the 2011 Prix Méditerranéens du Journalisme Awards.  This annual ceremony, hosted for the third time in Monaco and organized by the Monaco Méditerranée Foundation, awards those who have demonstrated their brilliance in, well, journalism… yeah, it doesn’t get much simpler than that.  To view photos please click here.

This afternoon at the Palais Princier, Prince Albert II presented the “Officer of Saint Charles” to author, Professor Tim Flannery for his contribution to the environment, science, and his best-selling books.

And finally, this evening the prince will attend the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation Awards Gala:

Since 2008, the Awards of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation rewards those who engage in an exceptional way to safeguard our planet. H.S.H. Prince Albert II will honor several international prominent personalities for their exemplary action in favor of the environment and saving the planet each of the three priority areas of his Foundation include: climate change, preserving biodiversity, access to water, and the fight against desertification.  The 2011 Awards will be proceeded by an exclusive screening of the film “Felins” to be attended by 1,000 guests.

Monaco Princely Family Celebrate 30 years of the Théâtre Princesse Grace

On October 3, 2011, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, H.R.H. Princess Caroline of Hanover, and H.S.H. Princess Stephanie of Monaco celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Théâtre Princesse Grace in Monte-Carlo.  Unfortunately, H.S.H. Princess Charlene did not attend.  Why?  I have no idea.
