Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II visited the Duke of Edinburgh in the hospital on December 24, 2011 where his was treated for a blocked coronary artery. The 90 year old duke complained of chest pains last night as a result he was rushed to Papsworth Hospital in Cambridgeshire.

On December 8, 2011, H.M. Queen Elizabeth II attended a special exhibition presented by the Royal Collection and Royal Archives at Buckingham Palace. This exhibition displays various artifacts from “…the Arctic, Antarctica and the Everest campaigns…”
Prior to the viewing, Queen Elizabeth officially opened the Rolls Building at the Royal Courts of Justice in London, England.

On December 1, 2011, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh made a one-day official visit to Liverpool, England.
During their tour the royal couple visited the new Museum of Liverpool and stopped by the “…Floral Pavillion where Her Majesty watched a short performance by students of St. Mary’s College, New Brighton, Wirral…”
This afternoon in London, England Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II visited Goodenough College to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the school. During the event the queen unveiled a plaque and spoke with those in attendance.
On October 26, 2011, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh visited Melbourne, Australia. During their brief stop to the lovely city the royal couple opened the new Royal Children’s hospital and took a tram ride to the Government House.
Soon, they were off to Perth, Australia where the royal couple arrived just moments ago. “The royal couple will spend Thursday morning visiting Clontarf Aboriginal College and viewing sporting facilities, before attending a garden party at Government House in the afternoon…” notes ABC News Australia. Tomorrow, Queen Elizabeth II will officially open the 54-nation Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) on Friday where revamping succession to the British throne will be discussed.
