On Monday, January 20, 2014, His Royal Highness Crown Princes Frederik of Denmark attended the opening ceremony of the 7th World Future Energy Summit (WFES) held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
According to the official website for the WFES the summit is:
“…apart of the 2014 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week. The WFES, held under the patronage of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, is the world’s foremost event dedicated to renewable energies, energy efficiency and clean technologies.
The WFES attracts world leaders, international policy makers, industry experts, investors from the public and private sector and media, who gather in Abu Dhabi to discuss practical and sustainable solutions to future energy challenges.”
During today’s event the future king of Denmark witnessed a “…strategic framework agreement [between the United Arab Emirates and the government of Denmark] outlining nine areas of collaboration focused on advancing renewable energy and sustainability globally.” You can read more about the signing agreement here.
