On March 27, 2013, His Serene Highness Prince Alois of Liechtenstein attended the opening session of Parliament in Vaduz.  According to AFP and Volksblatt, during yesterday’s session the prince gave a speech urging Parliament:

“…to prepare the Principality of Liechtenstein for austerity and to prepare a balanced budget as soon as possible.  The prince warned that forecasts for 2013 show a deficit of 172 million Euros which represents nearly a quarter of spending. The prince exclaimed ‘I see this situation with great concern for the long term good of our country…’

Liechtenstein has a AAA rating by Standard and Poor’s, which recently confirmed its rating with a stable outlook, highlighting that the Principality has stable institutions and a clear political line, which offers a guarantee of control of economic and financial challenges.”

Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco Visits Lenval Hospital.

CharleneOn Wednesday, March 27, 2013, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco, as Honorary President of Monaco Against Autism (MONAA), visited the Lenval Hospital in Nice, France.

During her visit the lovely princess toured the:

“…Centre de Ressources Autistes which provides outpatient care for 35 children ages 18 months to 6 years.  The treatment centre is original and unique in France.  The centre has developed a unique therapy related to new technologies, placing it at the forefront of research in the fight against this disease.”

Princess Charlene also met with various patients at the hospital.

News Regarding His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge. (VIDEO)

Per the Telegraph newspaper:

“The Duke of Cambridge will appear in Helicopter Rescue which follows the Search and Rescue team at the prince’s base at RAF Valley on Anglesey.

BBC Wales was given exclusive access to the teams at Prince William’s base of RAF Valley on Anglesey for the programme Helicopter Rescue.

The TV programme will show the working day of Flight Lieutenant Wales and some of the missions that he is called out on.

In a teaser for the programme ahead of its broadcast on April 8, Flt Lt Wales is shown flying a Sea King helicopter on a rescue mission to a slate quarry in Blaenau Ffestiniog.

The 30-year-old has to hover the helicopter as a boy and one of his crew are winched from the ground after the boy had fallen off an old railway bridge onto rocks.

“As captain you’re trying to play out the entire rescue, the transit to the rescue and back again in your mind, and pick up any circumstances or problems you can foresee, and try and fix them on the ground before you get airborne,” Flt Lt Wales says in the programme.”

HM Queen Elizabeth II and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh Attend Maundy Service. (VIDEOS)

On March 28, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh attended Maundy Service held at the Christ Church Cathedral in Oxford. Her Majesty will distribute the Royal Maundy during the Service.  During today’s event Her Majesty “…Her Majesty distributed the traditional Royal Maundy money during the Service.”

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Attends the 2013 Conférence Students on Ice. (VIDEO)

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco sure has been a busy little beaver this afternoon.  Anyway, the lovable “green” prince, as Honorary Chairman of the Students on Ice Foundation, attended the 2013 Conférence Students on Ice held at the Lycée Technique et Hôtelier in Monte-Carlo, Monaco.

In other news, beginning on April 3-4, 2013, the United Nations Secretary-General, Mr. Ban Ki-moon, and his wife will make an official visit to Monaco, at the invitation of Prince Albert II, on the “…occasion of the 20th anniversary of Monaco entering the United Nations.”

During his upcoming visit Mr. Ban Ki-moon will visit the Musée Océanographique, accompanied by the sovereign prince, to deliver a speech to the Corps Constitués, attend an official gala dinner at the Palais Princier and much more.   🙂
