Last Saturday, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco arrived at the Stade Louis II in Monte-Carlo to attend the 5th Edition of the Tournoi Sainte-Dévote.
According to the website, Fondation Princesse Charlène de Monaco which co-organized the event along with the Fédération Monégasque de Rugby:
“…Twelve U12 teams from nine countries participated in the competition. The Tunisian team won the tournament while Lucciana took away the Saint Devote Trophy. The South African team invited as a special guest to participate to the ‘South Africa – Monaco Rugby Exchange’, one of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation’s flagship projects in its ‘Sport & Education’ program, won the Bowl.
For the first time a ‘Tots Rugby’ Session for 3 to 5 year olds was organized initiating the children to the sport.
In parallel, educational workshops and specially designed courses were made available for disabled young people for an entertaining introduction to rugby.”
Last week, Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover presided over the AMADE Mondiale plenary meeting in Monte-Carlo, Monaco. During the two-day meeting “…representatives of AMADE Mondiale and its preferred partners review[ed] current programs and develop[ed] new collaborative opportunities…”
On Monday, April 13, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Letizia of Spain visited the Academia de Artillería in Segovia, Spain.
During today’s visit Her Majesty met with staff, military personnel as well as learned about the “… new curricula for NCOs, aimed at achieving the titles of ‘Mecatrónica Industrial’ and the Administración de Sistemas Informáticos en Red…'”
On Sunday, April 12, 2015, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the opening of the 7th World Water Forum held at the EXCO Convention Center in Daegu, South Korea.
Held under the theme, Water for Our Future, issues to be discussed during the six-day conference include “…water shortages and water security…” to name a few.
After the opening the sovereign prince attended a luncheon meeting hosted by the President of South Korea, Ms. President Park Geun-hye.
On Saturday, April 11, 2015, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco along with Baroness Elizabeth-Ann de Massy and her daughter, Mélanie-Antoinette, met with tennis legends, Mr. Roger Federer, and Mr. Željko Franulović, at the Palais Princier.
After a brief photo-op for the press, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene hosted a luncheon in honor of their special guests.
On Thursday, April 9, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands visited the company, TexelEnergie, in Den Burg. In 2014 the company was awarded the “…Koning Willem I Plaquette for sustainable enterprise…” according to RVD.
This afternoon, Her Majesty arrived at the Paleis Noordeinde in Den Haag to attend the Uitblinkers, a special luncheon held for “…Dutch citizens who have distinguished themselves by outstanding performance in various sectors such as sports, culture, journalism, health care, volunteer work or business…” according to the Dutch photo agency, PPE.
On the afternoon of Tuesday, April 7, 2015, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover and her children, and Her Serene Highness Princess Stephanie of Monaco and her children arrived at the Cathédrale de Monaco in Monaco-ville to attend a special memorial Mass in honor as well as remembrance of the 10th anniversary of the death of His Serene Highness the late Prince Rainier III of Monaco.
