Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias Attend the Inauguration of the Asamblea Nacional Euro-Toques España

On May 7, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias attended the inauguration of the  Asamblea Nacional Euro-Toques España held at the Caixa Forum in Madrid.

According to the official site for the royal house of Spain the Euro-Toques was:

…founded in 1986 in Brussels — at the behest of the then President of the European Commission, Mr. Jacques Delors, Mr. Pierre Romeyer, Mr. Paul Bocuse, Mr.Juan Mari Arzak and Mr. Pedro Subijana — the Euro-Toques is an international organization of chefs that integrates more than 3,500 cooks from 18 countries.

In Spain, the association brings together almost 800 chefs, under the presidency of Mr. Pedro Subijana, and is articulated through regional and provincial delegations. Its main objectives are to protect the quality and taste of the food; promote good make artisans of food; protect Europe’s culinary heritage in all its diversity and its origins; defend the security of a healthy diet in food products and encourage natural combinations require correct labeling to give consumers clear information enabling them to make their choice with good criteria.

Random Royal News Regarding Their Majesties King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia of Spain

His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain seems to be doing better these days after having  a second operation on his right hip last week.  And, since he is feeling groovy the old king held another audience this afternoon.  This time he met with the President of the Constitutional Court, Mr. Pascual Sala, at Zarzuela Palace.  Afterward, the old king received cute gold medal from representatives of the Federación Internacional del Automóvil.

Meanwhile, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain attended “… the Oath of Allegiance of the new Royal Guards at El Pardo Palace…”  The queen was accompanied by the Admiral General, Mr. Fernando Sánchez and the Secretary of State for Defense, Mr. Pedro Argüelles to name a few.

Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias attended the inauguration of the new headquarters for the Museo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (MUNCYT) (National Museum of Science and Technology) on May 4, 2012.

The prince and princess were given a private tour of the new building by the director of the Museo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología, Mr. Ramón Núñez.

His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain held an audience this afternoon at Zarzuela Palace with the President of the Canary Islands, Mr.Paulino Rivero Baute.

Meanwhile, Her Royal Highness Princess Letizia of Asturias held audiences with representatives from the Fundación César Egido Serrano and the Museo de la Palabra, members of the Red Estatal de Mujeres con Discapacidad (REDM), and representatives from the Siena Group as well as the winners of the Premios Magisterio a los Protagonistas de la Educación.

His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain’s Son-in-Law, Mr.Iñaki Urdangarín, Allegedly Seeks a Plea Deal in His Infamous Corruption and Fraud Case (VIDEO)

His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain’s son-in-law, Mr. Iñaki Urdangarín the Duke of Palma de Majorca, is allegedly seeking a plea deal with prosecutors regarding his infamous corruption and fraud case.

According to AFP news, the Mr.Urdangarín’s lawyers deny the claim stating, “We have had no contact, formal or informal, with the prosecutor and his learned colleagues in Palma de Majorca in relation to any kind of agreement or deal.”

His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain Back in the Hospital… Again. (VIDEO)

Last evening His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain — the man who loves Elephants — was sent back to San José University Hospital for hip surgery… again.  According to the royal court of Spain, the old king, “… was operated on this evening for a dislocated right hip which he suffered in the afternoon as a result of a wrong movement…”  

Apparently, the old king is “recovering well” and will remain in the hospital until tomorrow.

Meanwhile, His Majesty King Juan Carlos I (the Elephant Killer) of Spain is currently hiding out at his lovely palace in Madrid. But, thankfully he’s not lounging on his luxurious leather sofa, wearing his pajama’s, whilst sucking soup and watching telenovelas. Nope, the old king is back hard at work.

This afternoon at Zarzuela palace His Majesty held an audience  with the United Arab Emirates Foreign Minister, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Afterward, the old king met with the director of the Instituto Cervantes, Mr. Víctor García de la Concha.
