On Thursday, October 29, 2015, Their Majesties King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain attended a ceremony held at the Palacio Real in Madrid to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the United Nations Charter as well as the 60th anniversary of Spain’s admittance to the United Nations.
Earlier in the day, His Majesty King Felipe VI held an audience with the United Nations Secretary-General, Mr. Ban Ki-moon, at Palacio Real in Madrid.
On Wednesday, October 28, 2015, His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain gave a speech during the X Symposium Cotec Europa for Industrial Research and Innovation held at the National Council of Research in Rome, Italy. King Juan Carlos of Spain also attended today’s event.
On the morning of October 27, 2015, His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain arrived at the Palacio Municipal de Congresos in Madrid to officially open the conference, Madrid+10: Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism.
According to a press release the two-day conference mobilizes:
“…policy makers, opinion formers, civil society and grassroots organizations around the concept of preventing and countering radicalization and violent extremism, increasing public engagement and promoting grassroots initiatives.”
On the morning of October 19, 2015, His Majesty King Felipe of Spain met with the United States Secretary of State, Mr. John Kerry, at Palacio de La Zarzuela in Madrid.
In the afternoon, His Majesty accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Letizia of Spain attended the annual Instituto Cervantes board meeting held at the Palacio Real de El Pardo in Madrid.
On Tuesday, October 13, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Letizia of Spain participated in the opening of the 10th International Seminar of Language and Journalism Manuales de Estilo en la Era de la Marca Personal held at the Monasterio de Yuso in San Millan de la Cogolla.
On Friday, October 9, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Letizia of Spain arrived in Düsseldorf, Germany, to attend the opening of the exhibition, Zurbarán: Maestro de los Detalles (Master of Detail), organized by the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum de Madrid and the Museum Kunstpalast Düsseldorf.
On Tuesday, October 6, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Letizia of Spain presided over the XI Edition of the Premio Luis Carandell (Journalism Awards) ceremony held at Palacio del Senado in Madrid.
