Well, isn’t she a lucky little bird. Yesterday, the Spanish court on Palma de Mallorca has withdrawn a subpoena against Infanta Cristina of Spain initiated by Judge José Castro. Last month the judge ordered the 47-year-old Infanta to appear in court as a witness to the investigation of her shady husband, Mr. Iñaki Urdangarín, the Duke of Palma, and his former business partner, Mr. Diego Torres. As you may know by now the not exactly bright duo –Urdangarín and Torres — are accused of embezzlement, fraud, misuse of public funds, and forgery from the non-profit organization they once presided over, Instituto Nóos.

Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain Attends an Award Ceremony in Málaga. (VIDEO)
Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain was at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga this morning to attend the celebration of the Día Mundial de la Cruz Roja and the Media Luna Roja (World Day Red Cross and the Red Crescent).
After a speech by Her Majesty the Mayor of Málaga and the Secretary-General of the Cruz Roja Española presented awards to various branches of the Cruz Roja — Cádiz and Portugal — as well as to individual employees and various foundations.

TRHs Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias Visit Sevilla. (VIDEOS)
On May 7, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias arrived in Sevilla for a one-day visit. This morning the royal couple visited the new Guadalquivir River sluice gate which serves to control water flow and levels. It also serves as a protection against flooding in the lovely city of Sevilla. During their visit the prince and princess were given a tour of the facility as well as met with various officials and staff.
Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia also visited the Antiguo Monasterio de Santa Clara in Sevilla where they viewed the exhibition entitled, Santas de Zurbarán: Devoción y Persuasión. The exhibition displays various paintings of different saints including St. Ursula, St. Elizabeth of Portugal and St. Dorothy to name a few. Afterward, the prince and princess were given a tour of the newly restored monastery.

This afternoon at the Hotel InterContinential in Madrid His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias participated in the opening of the II Foro Global de Sostenibilidad.
The summit, organized by the international accounting and consulting firm Ernst & Young, brings together officials representing governments, international interest groups, businesses, and private organizations. The focus of the two-day summit is to discuss policies and technologies which will help to preserve the world’s resources for the use of future generations as well as our own.

So while many were having a fantastic time in the Netherlands celebrating the investiture of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, including TRHs Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias, His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain sat in his office at Palacio de la Zarzuela probably bored to death.
Just kidding.
Anyway, this afternoon the old king had the pleasure of holding an audience with the Equatorial Guinea’s Minster of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mr. Agapito Mba Mokuy.

His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan Meets With His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain. (VIDEOS)
His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan arrived in Madrid, Spain on this morning to meet with His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain at Palacio de la Zarzuela. The purpose of the one-day visit was to “…discuss bilateral ties and boost relations in all fields as well as the latest developments in the Middle East.”
Prior to arriving in Madrid, His Majesty King Abdullah II also visited the “….Jordanian peacekeeping contingent operating in Haiti…” according to the Petra News Agency.
Earlier this week His Majesty visited Washington D.C., where he held an important meeting with President Barack Obama as well as with Vice President Joe Biden, the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, John Boehner, and a host of other important U.S. government officials.

After a successful official visit to the United States of America and brief trips to Haiti as well as Spain His Majesty King Abdullah II finally returns home to Jordan.
