Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain Visits the Hospital Universitario La Paz. (VIDEO)

On February 11, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain arrived at the Hospital Universitario La Paz in Madrid to tour the new Medicina de la Adolescencia and the Ginecología Adaptada wards.

According to the Spanish royal court the Fundación Reina Sofía recently donated 51,251 Euros to the Medicina de la Adolescencia ward while the Ginecología Adaptada ward received 28,673 Euros.

casarealOn Monday, February 10, 2014, Her Royal Highness Princess Letizia of Asturias held audiences at Palacio de la Zarzuela with representatives from the Fundación Carmen Pardo-Valcarce, the Asociación Española del Síndrome de Wolf-Hirschhorn, and with the Federación Española de Enfermedades Raras and the Federación Portuguesa de Enfermedades Raras. 

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias met with the United States Secretary of the Navy, Mr. Raymond Mabus, Jr., at Palacio de la Zarzuela.

And, finally, on Friday, February 7, 2014, Prince Felipe was in Carthage, Tunisia to attend “…a ceremony of celebration of the adoption of the new Constitution of Tunisia at the Presidential Palace…”  Why?  I have no idea.

On February 6, 2014, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias arrived at the Palacio de Carlos V in Granada to view the exhibition, Arte y Culturas de al-Andalus: El Poder de la Alhambra 

The exhibition highlights the “…thousand year history of the kingdom of Granada and the importance of Andalusían culture…” according to the newspaper, La Informacion.

TRHs Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias Attend the Inauguration of the Palmetum de Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

AsturiasOn January 28, 2014, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias attended the inauguration of the Palmetum de Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the Canary Islands.

According to Casa Real, the Palmetum de Santa Cruz de Tenerife is “…a botanical garden, located on a former landfill, contains 1,400 different plant species of which five hundred are Palm trees from around the world.”
