During today’s event Her Majesty presented the prestigious award to Ms. Carmen del Riego.
On Monday, September 15, 2014, His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain held an audience with the President of the Philippines, Mr. Benigno Aquino III, at Palacio de La Zarzuela in Madrid.
The purpose of President Aquino’s two-day visit to Madrid is to strengthen bilateral and economic ties between the Philippines and Spain.

On September 8, 2014, Their Majesties King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain welcomed the President of Panama, Mr. Juan Carlos Varela and his wife, First Lady Lorena Castillo de Varela, to Palacio Real in Madrid, Spain.
On Monday, August 11, 2014, Their Majesties King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain accompanied by their two daughters, Her Royal Highness Princess Leonor and Her Royal Highness Princess Sofia, visited the historic Raixa country estate in Bunyola on the island of Mallorca.
According to the website, See Mallorca, the Raxia country estate, located in the Tramuntana mountains, dates back to the 13th century:
“The house has passed through several noble families through the centuries, and was transformed to its present Italian style villa in the 18th century.
The estate consists of several homes arranged around a central courtyard, with several farm buildings. The present gardens date to the 19th century, and feature a large pond, the gardens of Apollo and the southern gardens. To the east lie faux ‘ruins’ (common for this period) such as a manmade grotto, a neo-Arabic view point and a neoclassical temple.”
