News Regarding Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan. (VIDEO)


On Monday, June 2, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan met with a group women from the North-Eastern Badia.

According to Petra News, during yesterday’s visit:
“…[Her Majesty] welcomed the opportunity to meet the diverse group of women from the Northeastern Badia which houses several military, educational and vocational facilities. 

She also praised the humanitarian efforts of the residents in helping Syrian refugees in the area. Her Majesty then shed light on the importance of quality education and online learning to provide all Jordanians with the best education available…”

On Monday, May 19, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan participated in the launch of Edraak, a Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) for the Arab world.

According to the official website for Edraak the:

“…new MOOC platform will present the Arab world with unique and vital opportunities that can be part of a necessary revolution in education and learning.

First, the platform will broadcast the best Arab professors to the region, offering original Arabic courses – developed by QRF – to further enrich Arab education. Through its partnership with edX, the platform will also give Arab learners access in Arabic to courses taught and developed at top tier institutions like HarvardX, MITX, and UC BerkelyX. All courses are delivered at no cost to the learner.

Second, QRF envisions the use of the platform to showcase Arab role models by broadcasting short online courses by practitioners and professionals from a variety of fields spanning the arts and sciences.

Finally, QRF believes that the platform will enable the Arab world to take advantage of the international interest in regional affairs to tell its own story to the world. Arab university professors and regional experts can use the platform to give courses in English about the region and its history. This will serve to inform a global audience that is interested in the region’s development.”

HM Queen Rania of Jordan Attends a Ceremony at the University of Jordan. (VIDEOS)



On Tuesday, April 22, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan arrived at the University of Jordan in Amman to witness His Highness Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz al Saud recieve an honorary doctorate in International Business.

According to Petra News, the prince received the “…degree in recognition of his regional and international efforts in the fields of business, economic development, administration, tourism and media”

On Wednesday, April 9, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan visited the Rosary Sisters Visitation Home in Amman, Jordan.

According to Petra News, Her Majesty spent time with:

“…a group of elderly nuns living at the home most of whom had spent their entire lives doing humanitarian work in different fields including education, health, and social services.

To express their appreciation of the Queen’s visit, the nuns presented Her Majesty with two gifts: a Holy Qur’an and a piece of hand embroidery that the nuns had made themselves.”

His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan Visits Vienna, Austria. (VIDEOS)


On April 8, 2014, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan arrived in beautiful Vienna, Austria, for a one-day visit.

Upon his arrival at Hofburg Palace His Majesty was warmly greeted by the President of Austria, Mr. Heinz Fischer, and other government officials.

After the official welcoming ceremony and a brief photo-op for the international press His Majesty and President Fischer held a luncheon meeting where discussions focused on various issues including the Syrian crisis, the situation in the Middle East as well as ways of strengthen bilateral and economic ties between Jordan and Austria.

Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan Visits the La Storia Museum. (VIDEO)

On Monday, April 7, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan “…visited La Storia Museum on Mount Nebo in Madaba, Jordan…” according to the Jordan Times.

During today’s visit Her Majesty was given a tour of the museum and “…added a few small stones [to the] King’s Way mosaic project seeks to enter the Guinness World Records with the world’s largest mosaic portrait that will, when finished, span over 180 square metres…”
