Meanwhile, in Amman, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan visited the Oasis500 headquarters at the King Hussein Park. According to the Petra News Agency, Her Majesty “…met with the management of the development and investment company as well as young entrepreneurs running start-up ICT and digital content companies who showcased their progress, achievements and future plans.”

On Monday, February 18, 2013, His Majesty King Abdullah of Jordan “…received a delegations from the U.S. National Defense University, led by retired General Joseph Hoare, currently visiting the Kingdom within a tour of the Middle East” according to the Petra News Agency.
His Majesty also met with United States Senator Marco Rubio who is currently on a brief visit to the Kingdom. According to the Petra News Agency, during their meeting His Majesty and Senator Rubio discussed “…Jordanian and US ties and the latest developments in the Middle East.”
On February 13, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan met with the “…participants and winners of the Intel Science Competition-Arab World 2012, which took place in December in Dubai and drew 130 students from 11 Arab countries…” according to the Petra News Agency.
On February 11, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan inaugurated a new building of the “…Rmeil Charitable Society located in the Al Jeezeh district and dropped by one of the public schools in the area to check on students starting their second semester.”

On Sunday, February 10, 2013, His Majesty King Abdullah of Jordan attended the opening of the first “… non-ordinary session of the 17th Jordanian Parliament…” in Amman.
During today’s opening His Majesty gave a speech noting that he “…seeks to reach a consensus with the newly elected parliament before naming a prime minister, and hailed the historic transformation towards parliamentary government in Jordan.”

On February 7, 2013, His Majesty King Abdullah of Jordan held a meeting with the Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Saud Al-Faisal, in Amman. According to the Petra News Agency today’s meeting focused on “…strong bilateral ties as well as a number of Arab and regional issues of common concern.”

His Majesty King Abdullah of Jordan completed his brief visit to the United Arab Emirates on the evening of February 4, 2013. During his visit, His Majesty, accompanied by his delegation, had a chance to visit the tomb of the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan according to the newspapers, Gulf News and the National.
Meanwhile, this afternoon in Amman, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan visited the “….elderly home care center at Al Asirra Al Bayda’s Society …” According to the Petra News Agency, Her Majesty met with representatives from the “…Jordan Volunteers group who provide psychological, social and medical services to the elderly…”
