On Tuesday, November 19, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan arrived at the Four Seasons Hotel in Amman to attend the opening of the conference, Building Women-Focused Finance: The Global-Local Experience, organized by the Women’s World Banking (WWB) organization.
According to the official website for the WWB the two-day conference gathers “…more than 250 microfinance practitioners, commercial bankers, investors, donors, and regulators from more than 40 countries to promote financial inclusion for low-income women…”
On November 18, 2013, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan watched a “…military exercise carried out by the Hussein bin Ali 30th Special Mission Brigade…” in Zarqa according to Petra News.
On November 14, 2013, Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan accompanied by their children visited the tomb of His Majesty the late King Hussein bin Talal on the “…occasion of the anniversary of his birthday.”
On Monday, November 11, 2013, His Majesty Abdullah II of Jordan presided over the “…graduation of the ninth batch of officers at the Royal Military College…” according to Petra News.
On November 7, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan arrived atHarvard Law School in Cambridge, Massachusetts to open the 7th Annual Harvard Arab Weekend Conference.
According to Petra News, the conference:
“…is considered to be the largest pan-Arab conference in North America held to showcase a mosaic of perspectives and insights on the most pressing issues in the Arab world.
During the event, Queen Rania spoke about youth in the Middle East and why she maintains optimism in the Arab world future.”
On the evening of November 7, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan was in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to witness the signing of a partnership with her foundation, Queen Rania Foundation, and EdX.

On Wednesday, Her Majesty attended the United Nations Foundation and the United Nations Association of the USA Global Leadership Awards Dinner in New York City.
Meanwhile, in Amman, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan held another meeting with the United States Secretary of State, John Kerry, at Al-Hummar Palace on Thursday. Discussions focused on “…efforts to achieve peace between the Palestinians and the Israelis, as well as the developments in the Syrian crisis…” according to Petra News.
On November 6, 2013, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan held an audience at Al-Hummar Palace in Amman with the “…head of the Russian delegation to the Joint Jordanian-Russian Governmental Committee and Agriculture, Minister Nikolai Fyodorov…” according to Petra News.
During the important meeting discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties between Jordan and Russia.
His Majesty also held a meeting with Mr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh al Manthri, the Chairman of the Omani State Council. Discussions during their meeting focused on the Syrian crisis, ways to achieve peace in the Middle East and much more.
