His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Visits Canada.

On September 20, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco arrived in Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada.

On his first day the sovereign prince went on a nature walk with Qikiqtani Inuit Association President, Ms. Okalik Eegeesiak and Ms. Alacie Joamie, according to CBC reporter, Ms. Emily Ridlington.  During his walk, Ms. Ridlington noted that the sovereign prince “…learned about the sensitive marine Arctic environment…”

As I mentioned a couple of days ago, Prince Albert II is also scheduled to meet with Mayor of Iqaluit, Ms. Madeleine Redfern, as well as “… students from the Nunavut Arctic College…”  Prince Albert II will also “… make an announcement with Oceans North Canada and the Qikiqtani Inuit Association on behalf of his foundation (the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco), which supports environmental conservation projects…” during his trip.

On Friday, the sovereign prince is scheduled to visit the Inuit community of Kuujjuaq located in Nunavik, Quebec.

Royal News Regarding Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover and His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco. (VIDEO)

On Tuesday, September 18, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover and His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the presentation of the l’Ordre de la Légion d’Honneur to Mr.Stéphane Valeri held at the Hôtel Méridien in Monte-Carlo.

In 1999, Mr. Valeri was appointed the Chevalier de l’Ordre de Saint-Charles by the late Prince Rainier III.  Mr. Valeri is currently the Government Minister for Social Affairs and Health in Monaco.

On Wednesday, September 19, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the 22nd Annual Monaco Yacht Show at Port Hercule.

During his tour of the show the sovereign prince was presented with a check worth 42,000 Euros “… for the benefit of the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco…”

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Attends a Patti Smith Concert.

On September 17, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco along with Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover, and her daughter, Charlotte Casriaghi, were at the Salle Garnier in Monte-Carlo to watch legendary singer, Patti Smith, perform.

During the concert Ms. Smith peformed songs from her new album/CD Banga which were “…inspired by her dreams and reflections, and depict a complex world, a world where beauty and chaos reign.”

Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco Attends the Van Cleef & Arpels: L’Art de la Haute Joaillerie Exhibition. Plus, Other News.

On the evening of September, 18, 2012, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the launch of the Van Cleef & Arpels: L’Art de la Haute Joaillerie exhibition held at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.

Guests in attendance gazed upon 400 exquisite jewels “…accompanied by archival documents and drawings.”

If you happen to live  in Paris or will be visiting the city in the coming weeks and are interested in seeing this exhibition, well, it ends on February 10, 2013.   🙂

Meanwhile, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco is apparently preparing for an upcoming trip to North America.  According to the online news network, CBC Canada, the sovereign prince will be in Iqaluit on Thursday.  During his stay Prince Albert II is scheduled to meet with “… Premier Eva Aariak, Iqaluit Mayor Madeleine Redfern and students at Nunavut Arctic College.”  

Prince Albert will also “…make an announcement with Oceans North Canada and the Qikiqtani Inuit Association on behalf of his foundation (the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco), which supports environmental conservation projects.”

During the last week of September Prince Albert II will be in Monterey, California to attend the BLUE Ocean Film Festival and Conservation Summit.  He is scheduled to give a keynote speech according to the official website for the BLUE Conservation Summit. Other well-known environmentalists are also scheduled to attend including Dr. Sylvia Earle, Ms. Celine Cousteau and Oscar winning film director, Mr. James Cameron, to name a few.

Royal News Regarding Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover and Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco.

On Monday, September 17, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover attended the l’Institut de Formation en Soins Infirmiers  graduation ceremony in Monaco.

The purpose of her attendance was to present badges to each of the graduates. Also during yesterday’s event the director of the l’Institut de Formation en Soins Infirmiers, Ms. Monique Le Du, announced that Princess Caroline has “… agreed to become patron of the school.”

And, finally, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco was recently in Paris, France for a little retail therapy.  According to the Spanish magazine, Hola, the princess shopped at Dior and Ralph Lauren to name a few.
