His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Attends the 6th Edition of the Peace and Sport International Forum.

On October 31, 2012 His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the 6th Edition of the Peace and Sport International Forum in Sochi, Russia.

Per a press release:

“Under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, the Peace and Sport International Forum is a unique annual summit bringing together hundreds of guests and delegates. 

Hosted for the first time outside Monaco in the future Olympic City of Sochi, situated at the crossroads of Europe, Asia and the Middle East, the 6th Edition of the Peace and Sport International Forum promises to be more multinational than ever. 

More than 500 delegates, speakers and panelists from 70 countries will enrich the 3 days of debates. Among them: heads of states, political decision-makers, legendary athletes committed to sport and peace, and leading figures from world sport governance.”

On Monday, October 29, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco was at the Sénat in Paris to attend a working luncheon organized by the Club des Voitures Ecologiques.

In other news, the sovereign prince will visit Kazakhstan beginning on November 2, 2012.  During his four-day visit Prince Albert II will meet with President Nursultan Nazarbayev, visit a cultural and sports facility in Astana, attend the “…opening of the Honorary Consulate of the Principality of Monaco in the presence of many authorities Kazakhstan…” and much more.

The sovereign prince will also attend the opening of the exhibition, The Grace Kelly Years, Princess of Monaco, in Astana.

On Friday, October 26, 2012, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco were in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to attend the Ritz-Carlton Montreal’s 100th anniversary gala.

During the event the sovereign prince and princess inaugurated “… the luxurious Royal Suite…” which was renamed the Grimaldi Suite. Afterward, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene along with hundreds of guests partied at the “...hotel’s brand-new rooftop pool, where stunning views of Montreal’s midnight skyline and an electric harpist enthralled guests into the early hours.”

Meanwhile in Philadelphia, the late Princess Grace’s childhood home will receive a “… historical marker outside the home commemorating the Kelly family…”  Click here to read an article from the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco Attends the new Versace Store Opening in NYC. Plus, Other News.

On the evening of October 24, 2012, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the new Versace store opening in SoHo in New York City.  Guests in attendance included a bunch of really good-looking people in fabulous outfits, models, actors and musicians.  Afterward, the princess attended a dinner at the Waldorf Towers with Ms. Donatella Versace and Gerard Butler to name a few.

In other news, if you happen to live in Los Angeles, California and would like to see the highly acclaimed Danish film, En Kongelig Affære (A Royal Affair) starring sexy actor Mads Mikkelsen, the movie will be shown during the AFI Film Festival on Monday, November 5, 2012.

Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco Attend a Luncheon.

On Monday, October 22, 2012, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco attended a luncheon held in their honor in New York City.

The event, held at the restaurant Daniel, was organized and hosted by Dom Pérignon and the Princess Grace Foundation Board of Trustees.  Guests included the Princess Charlene’s close friend, model Karolina Kurkova, Her Royal Highness Firyal of Jordan, and socialite Lynn Wyatt to name a few.

On the evening of Monday, October 22, 2012, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the 2012 Princess Grace Awards Gala held at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.

Per a press release via the Princess Grace Foundation-USA regarding the awards:

“The Princess Grace Foundation-USA, a public charity, was formed after the death of Princess Grace in 1982. They present scholarships, apprenticeships, and fellowships to assist artists at the start of their careers. 

The Foundation has cultivated a diverse group of nearly 600 artists to date who continue to advance the spectrum of performing arts with innovative, cutting-edge, and vibrant theater, dance, choreography, film, playwriting and design.  Since the Foundation’s inception, more than 750 Awards have been given to recipients, totaling nearly $10 million.

The 2012 Princess Grace Awards winners represent 24 colleges, universities, and not-for-profit theater and dance companies throughout the United States. The Awards winners exemplify both classical and experimental artistic disciplines and, while still considered emerging talent, already show exceptional promise in their areas of expertise. 

The Foundation’s support assists their theater and dance studies, helps pay their artistic fees at non-profit theater and dance companies and helps support their thesis film projects. In addition to the Awards, the Princess Grace Foundation-USA extends general operating monies to companies hosting an Awards winner.  

2012 marks the launch of the Princess Grace JustFilms Awards with the generous support of the Ford Foundation.  These Awards assist social justice documentary filmmakers whose projects focus on South and Southeast Asian communities.”

Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco Visit Auschwitz. (VIDEO)

On Friday, October 19, 2012, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco visited Auschwitz Concentration Camp in Poland.  Whilst there the princely couple laid flowers at the Execution Wall, toured the crematorium, and the red-brick barracks which housed inmates.

The sovereign prince also “… visited the wooden barracks and a memorial at Birkenau…”   Afterward, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene met with members of the Auschwitz Foundation.
