Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands Opens the ‘Amsterdame Westerstraat’ in Arnhem (VIDEOS)

On April 3, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands opened the ‘Amsterdame Westerstraat’ held at the Openluchtmuseum (Open Air Museum) in Arnhem.

According to RVD, the museum is celebrating their 100th anniversary and the exhibition, ‘Amsterdame Westerstraat’:

…presents the culture of everyday life of ordinary people in Netherlands. In and around authentic historical buildings, history comes to life with interactive presentations.

Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands Visits Middleburg (VIDEOS)

Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands was in Middleburg on March 30, 2012, where she:

…unveiled a monument, made by Jet Schepp, for Willem van Oranje at the Abbey. The monument consists of two reliefs in the Loggia of the Prince logement of the Abbey.  Willem van Oranje, father of the nation and paterfamilias, and his wife Charlotte de Bourbon lived in Middelburg.

Random Royal News Regarding His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje (VIDEOS)

Recently, His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje visited the IT security company, Fox IT, to learn more about the company (basically, what the heck they actually do).   🙂  According to RVD, “…Fox IT studies and monitors of cybercrime and delivers worldwide (innovative) security solutions for Governments, banks and civil society organizations.” Click here to watch a video. (in Dutch)

On Thursday, March 29, 2012, the prince was in the municipality Barendrecht where he participated in a meeting, toured an activity center and spent time in a “… 500-year-old village church.”  Click here to watch a video. (in Dutch)

Random Royal News Regarding Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands and His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco. Plus, A Video From the 2012 Le Bal de la Rose

On March 27, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands was at the Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam to celebrate 25 years of the National Committee.

Meanwhile, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco flew back to the south of France this afternoon where he attended the 2012 World Figure skating Championships.  Also in attendance were Their Royal Highnesses Princess Caroline of Hanover and her daughter, Princess Alexandra of Hanover.

Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands Visits Luxembourg: Day Two (VIDEOS)

On March 21, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands continued her state visit to lovely Luxembourg.  First, Her Majesty along with the Grand Duke Henri visited Belval, located in south Luxembourg, to view a construction project.

Afterward, they visited the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine laboratory.  Soon, Her Majesty and  Grand Duke Henri attended a luncheon hosted by Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker and held at Château de Bourglinster.

In the evening, Queen Beatrix along with the Grand Ducal couple  and Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume attended a classical music concert.

Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands Celebrates the 55th Anniversary of National Tree Day (VIDEO)

On March 21, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands celebrated the 55th anniversary of National Tree Day in Cuijk and Boxmeer.

During the today’s event, the princess visited a nursery where she spoke with “…rural organizations and volunteers who contribute annually to the famous tree holiday.”  Afterward, Princess Maxima watched as  “…27 trees were planted by students from various schools…”

National Tree Day was established in 1957 to raise to “… draw attention to the consequences of deforestation and today aims to raise awareness about the importance of trees and forests…”
