On the morning of April 15, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands visited the Stichting Buurtmarkt Breedeweg in Groesbeek. The foundation is one of the three the winners of the 2014 Appeltje van Oranje according to RVD.

On Thursday, April 10, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark arrived at the Karen Blixen Museet in Rungsted to preside over the 2014 Rundstedlundpris.
According to the Danish newspaper, Sjælland Nyheder, Her Majesty presented the prize to editors, Ms. Marianne Juhl and Ms. Marianne Wirenfeldt Asmussen, for their works, Karen Blixen i Afrika: En Brevsamling 1914-31, Vol. I-IV (Karen Blixen in Africa: A Collection of Letters 1914-31, Vol. I-IV ).

On April 14, 2014, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark arrived at the Musikhuset Esbjerg to attend the 2014 Next Step Challenge (NSC) Award ceremony.
During this evening’s ceremony the future king of Denmark presented the top prize, worth 250,000 Euros, to the company, Teleskin.
According to the official website for NSC, the purpose of the Next Step Challenge is to:
“…attract innovative startups with entrepreneur spirit, business courage and a winning attitude to Next Step City. [The Next Step Challenge is] is looking for businesses who can really make use of the opportunities the unique digital infrastructure we have to offer – startups within solutions for digitalization and intelligent energy solutions.”

On Monday, April 14, 2014, Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge continued their visit to lovely New Zealand. Today, the royal couple were in the city of Christchurch were they visited the “…CTV Building Memorial Park where they met the families of those who died in the February 2011 earthquake…” according to Clarence House.
Thereafter, the duke and duchess visited the RNZAF Memorial Wall of Remembrance, participated in “…a walkabout in Latimer Square before playing cricket at the 2015 Cricket World Cup ground…”, and much more.
