Random Royal News Regarding H.R.H. Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg and H.S.H. Prince Alois of Liechtenstein.

This morning at the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri held an audience with Belgian Prime Minister, Mr. Elio Di Rupo.  The prime minister is currently in Luxembourg for a brief working visit.

And, finally in the Dutch online newspaper, RD.nl, there is an interesting article regarding His Serene Highness Prince Alois of Liechtenstein. The article discusses the prince’s stance on abortion, the separation of church and state as well as boring politics in his country.  Click here to read the article (in Dutch.)

Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands Visits Stiching Wilskracht. Plus, Other News (VIDEOS)

On January 19, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands was in Reuver visiting the volunteer organization, Stiching Wilskracht, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the crisis shelter for women, Hotel de Botel.

Earlier, the princess was in Landgraaf where she visited a school participating in Klinkend Perspectief, a project that encourages the youth to play music.  Upon her arrival she was greeted by the school’s officials as well as faculty.  Once inside Princess Maxima visited the music classroom where she was given a mini-concert by the students of the school.

Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands Holds an Audience with Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu

On January 19, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands met with Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and his wife at the royal palace in Den Haag.  Prior to his meeting with Her Majesty, Mr. Netanyahu visited the famous Portuguese Synagogue in Amsterdam as well as held talks with the Netherlands Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands Attends A New Year’s Reception in Amsterdam

On January 18, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands along with His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje, Princess Maxima of the Netherlands, Princess Margriet and Mr. Pieter van Vollenhoven attended a New Year’s reception for the Corps Diplomatique held at Koninklijk Paleis Amsterdam (royal palace of Amsterdam).

On January 18, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco was in Gentbrugge, Belgium where he had a private visit with Belgian artist, Wim Delvoye, at the restaurant, Nieuw Stadion. Click here to watch a video news clip.

Her Royal Highness Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands Reads to the Youth in Amersfoort

On January 18, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands was at the Windroos School in Amersfoort to read to the various youth as part of National Reading Month (or simply Breakfast Reading.)  Anyway… the lovely princess read the book, Mama Kwijt, by Chris Haughton and by all accounts the youth seem interested.

The Prince of Wales Patron of the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant. Plus, Other News.

With several months to go before Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her Diamond Jubilee it was recently announced that His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales agreed to become patron of the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant.
