On Tuesday, June 28, 2022, His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain gave the opening speech at the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Public Forum High-Level Dialogue and Security held at the IFEMA Fairgrounds in Madrid.
The NATO Public Forum took place on the sidelines of the 32nd NATO Summit organized in collaboration with NATO, the Elcano Royal Institute, the German Marshall Fund, the Munich Security Conference, and the Atlantic Council.
The 32nd NATO Summit brings together 40 Heads of State and governments including 30 allied countries, four invited Asia-Pacific countries (Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and South Korea), four other member countries of the European Union but not of the NATO Alliance, as well as the heads of the Commission Union and the European Council.
The NATO Public Forum gathers participants from beyond the traditional security and defense community to enrich the debate on the future of the world’s most powerful political-military alliance.
