(VIDEO) HRH The Duchess of Cornwall Visited the Home of Jane Austen.

On Wednesday, April 6, 2022, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall visited the home of the legendary British author, Jane Austen, in Chawton, England.

Upon her arrival, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall was warmly greeted by staff, the Director of the Jane Austen house, Ms. Lizzie Dunford as well as Trustees of the Jane Austen House, Ms. Isabel Hughes and Professor Kathryn Sutherland.

According to the official website for the Jane Austen House, Her Royal Highness:

“…viewed the Drawing Room, where Jane Austen herself read aloud from her very own copy of Pride and Prejudice the day before its publication in 1813; the Dining Room, where Austen wrote and where her precious writing table remains; first editions of Austen’s novels; two of Austen’s letters, both written at the cottage; topaz cross necklaces belonging to Jane and her sister, Cassandra; family portrait miniatures and the iconic Mr Darcy white shirt worn by Colin Firth in the 1995 BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice…”

(VIDEO) TRHs The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall Open the New Meta Offices.

On Wednesday, March 30, 2022, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall officially opened the new Meta (formerly known as Facebook) King’s Cross offices in London, England.

During today’s opening, the royal couple “…tried out the new virtual reality headsets before a digital plaque unveiling at the company’s eco-friendly offices…”

On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visited the Irish Cultural Center in London, England. The purpose of today’s visit by the amazing royal duo was to celebrate the Irish Cultural Center’s 25th anniversary in the run-up to St Patrick’s Day.

On Wednesday, March 9, 2022, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visited the Tate Museum in London, England.

During today’s visit to the world famous museum, The Prince of Wales met with Mr. David Bailey who co-curated the gallery’s exhibition, Life Between Islands: Caribbean-British Art 1950-Now.

According to a press release, via Tate Museum, Life Between Islands: Caribbean-British Art 1950-Now exhibition:

“… explores the work of artists from the Caribbean who made their home in Britain, alongside other British artists whose work has been influenced and inspired by Caribbean themes and heritage.

Spanning visionary paintings to documentary photography, fashion, film and sculpture, Life Between Islands traces the extraordinary breadth and impact of Caribbean British art, in one setting.

This exhibition celebrates how people from the Caribbean have forged new communities and identities in post-war Britain – and in doing so have transformed what British culture and society looks like today.

The exhibition features over 40 artists, including Aubrey Williams, Donald Locke, Sonia Boyce, Claudette Johnson, Peter Doig, Hurvin Anderson, Horace Ové, Grace Wales Bonner and Alberta Whittle.”

Meanwhile, The Duchess of Cornwall Camilla viewed the Tate Museum’s “…historic works and met producers as well as young people who run special events at the gallery to help engage the next generation of young creatives.”
