On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of Belgium participated in a meeting at the Palais Royal de Bruxelles with mental health professionals who specialize in the care of the elderly.
According to the Belgian royal court discussions focused on the “…prevention, social aspects and access to psychological support adapted to the specific needs of the elderly.”
On Wednesday, March 9, 2022, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited an emergency shelter for Ukrainian refugees in Brussels, Belgium.
According to the Belgian news agency, RTBF, the shelter has a “…250 person capacity. The shelter provides emergency accommodation for three days for people who have no long-term housing solution…”
During today’s visit Their Majesties met with Red Cross volunteers and dozens of families who recently arrived to Belgium from Ukraine.

On Monday, March 7, 2022, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgian met with Belgian athletes who received a medal during the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games at Château de Laeken.
Also attending yesterday’s meeting were President of the Belgian Inter-federal Olympic Committee, Mr. Jean-Michel Saive, the Director of “Topsport”, Mr. Olav Spahl, the Presidents of the Skating and Figure Skating Federation, and coaches.
