On Tuesday, June 11, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay (aka The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall) arrived in Dundee, Scotland for a one-day visit. According to Clarence House, the duke and duchesses visited the offices of the publishing company, D.C. Thomson & Co. Whilst there the royal couple met with members of the Thomson family as well as staff of the publishing company.
Afterward, The Duke of Rothesay, visited the The Prince’s Trust Centre and the Grey Lodge Settlement to celebrate their 125th anniversary.
Meanwhile, The Duchess of Rothesay visited the charity, JDRF. During her visit the duchess met with patients and staff as well as attended a reception. Soon, The Duchess of Rothesay arrived at the National Osteoporosis Society. Whilst there she attended a “…presentation by medical staff, patients and volunteers on NHS Tayside’s Fracture Liaison Service and met with the charity’s supporters at a reception at the Clinical Research Centre.”
From there the duchess visited Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres and the War Memorials Trust while The Duke of Rothesay hosted a “…reception to mark the 40th Anniversary of Sabhal Mor Ostaig, the Gaelic Language College of the University of the Highlands and Islands, held at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh.”
