On Thursday, June 23, 2022, Her Royal Highness Princess Marie of Denmark attended the International Symposium on Danish-French Cultural Partnerships at the Kulturhus Kappelborg in Skagen.
Upon her arrival, Her Royal Highness Princess Marie was warmly welcomed by the Director of the Musée Marmottan Monet, Mr. Érik Desmazières, and the Director of the Skagen Art Museum, Ms. Lisette Vind Ebbesen.
Today’s symposium took place in connection with the exhibition entitled, Krøyer og Paris: Franske Forbindelser og Nordiske Toner (Krøyer and Paris: French Connections and Nordic Tones), which Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark opened last month.
The exhibition is the culmination of a three-year international research collaboration, under the auspices of Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II, between the Skagen’s Art Museum and the Musée Marmottan Monet in Paris.
According to the Danish royal court, the Minister of Culture, Ms. Ane Halsboe-Jørgensen, also “…participated in the symposium, which aimed to create fertile ground for even more cultural partnerships across national borders.”
