On Tuesday, June 21, 2022, Their Majesties King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain chaired the annual meeting with the Board of Trustees of the Fundación Princesa de Asturias (Princess of Asturias Foundation) held at Palacio Real in Madrid.

The Princess of Asturias Foundation is a non-profit private institution whose essential goals are to contribute to extolling and promoting scientific, cultural, and humanistic values that form part of the universal heritage of humanity; moreover, to consolidate the existing links between the Principality of Asturias and the title traditionally held by the heirs to the Crown of Spain.

The Board of Trustees of the Princess of Asturias Foundation consists of twenty individuals who are in charge of establishing the activities to be carried out, approving the budgets, setting the criteria for action, and so forth.
