On the morning of Monday, June 20, 2022, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco welcomed hundreds of cyclists participating in the 2022 La Sapaudia Bike Race on the Place du Palais in Monaco-Ville.

The purpose of the race is to raise money and awareness of Bone Marrow disease in children and young adults. Prior to the race, the sovereign prince met with the participants as well as with the organizers of the event.

Thereafter, Prince Albert II officially launched the 600 km race from Monaco-Ville to Albertville, France.
