On Monday, June 20, 2022, Her Royal Highness Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg, as Patron of the Cercle Artistique de Luxembourg, presented the 2022 Prix Grand-Duc Adolphe I held at the Palais Grand-Ducal in Luxembourg City.

According to the Cour Grand-Ducale, the award was established i 1902 by, “…Grand Duke Adolphe I on the initiative of Grand Duchess Marie Adelaide. The objective was to create a platform for the promotion of Luxembourgish artists.” 

The Prix Grand-Duc Adolphe I is presented every two years to an artist for their outstanding work. The recipient of the 2022 Prix Grand-Duc Adolphe I Art Award went to Ms. Catherine Lorent for her piece entitled, 7 Vues Phantastiques Sur la Mer.
