HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden Meets with the CEO of the World Food Program.

On the morning of June 14, 2022, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden met with the CEO of the World Food Program, Mr. David Beasley, inside the Princess Sibylla apartment at the Kungliga Slottet in Stockholm.

The World Food Program (WPO) is one of the world’s largest humanitarian organizations. The WFO plays a vital role in saving lives around the world, including some of the most severe crises in areas such as Afghanistan, Ethiopia and Yemen. Global hunger and the risk of large-scale famine disasters have rapidly increased over the years. Today, over 155 million people suffer from acute hunger and 45 million are at risk of starvation.

During their meeting, Crown Princess Victoria was given an update about the World Food Program’s latest work. Sweden is the World Food Program’s largest nuclear support provider and has recently signed a new four-year agreement with the World Food Program.
