On Wednesday, June 1, 2022, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark began her annual summer cruise aboard the royal yacht Dannebrog.

This morning, Her Majesty arrived at the port of Helsingør whereupon she was warmly greeted by the Mayor of Helsingør Municipality, Ms. Benedikte Kiær.

Thereafter, Her Majesty took a carriage through the city to the Helsingør City Hall with an escort from the Guard House Regiment’s Horse Squadron. Whilst at the Helsingør City Hall, Mayor Benedikte Kiær gave an official welcoming speech for Her Majesty and then introduced the her to the Helsingør Municipality city council members.

Soon, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II visited the library at Kulturværftet and then made a surprise visit to the Danish men’s national football team training camp.

After an official luncheon at Marienlyst Strandhotel, Her Majesty visited the carpentry/woodworking company, Egeværk. The day ended with a visit to the biotech company, Bavarian Nordic A/S, and a tour of the chocolatier company, Peter Beier Chokolade.
