
On the afternoon of Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands hosted a special luncheon at the Paleis Noordeinde in Den Haag.
Guests invited to the luncheon included outstanding Dutch individuals who have distinguished themselves through a special achievement.
According to RVD, the twenty-six guests have recently received a prize or other award for their achievements in various sectors such as art & culture, media, science, sports, and business:
“…guests included the Teachers of the Year 2021 in primary, secondary and special education and senior secondary vocational education, the architect of the year, the winner of the NS Public Award, the best local administrator, the winners of the Johannes Vermeer Prize for painting and of the Dutch Music Prize and three Olympic ice skating champions.
Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima wanted to honor and recognize each outstanding Dutch individual for their extraordinary achievements by offering them a special luncheon”
