HRH Prince Carl Philip of Sweden Presents Awards at the Textile Museum in Borås.

On the evening of Monday, May 30, 2022, His Royal Highness Prince Carl Philip of Sweden presented an award during the Arts and Business Award Ceremony held at the Textile Museum in Borås.

According to the Swedish royal court, the recipient of the award went to:

“…the autumn holiday event, Rys and Cozy in Varberg. The event offers families with children an outdoor experience where visitors can wander around between light installations in central Varberg. The project is a collaboration between Halland’s Cultural History Museum, Varberg Energi AB, and the Varberg municipality.”

HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden Attends the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award Ceremony.

On the evening of May 30, 2022, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden attended the 2022 Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award ceremony held at the Stockholm Concert Hall in Stockholm.

Established in 2002, the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award is presented annually to a person or organization that contributes to the importance of literature for children and young adults worldwide.

The recipient of the 2022 Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award went to Swedish author and illustrator, Ms. Eva Lindström. Along with the prestige of the award, Ms. Lindström also received 5 million Swedish Krona (roughly $511, 716 USD).

TMs King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands Host a Special Luncheon at Paleis Noordeinde.

On the afternoon of Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands hosted a special luncheon at the Paleis Noordeinde in Den Haag.

Guests invited to the luncheon included outstanding Dutch individuals who have distinguished themselves through a special achievement.

According to RVD, the twenty-six guests have recently received a prize or other award for their achievements in various sectors such as art & culture, media, science, sports, and business:

“…guests included the Teachers of the Year 2021 in primary, secondary and special education and senior secondary vocational education, the architect of the year, the winner of the NS Public Award, the best local administrator, the winners of the Johannes Vermeer Prize for painting and of the Dutch Music Prize and three Olympic ice skating champions.

Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima wanted to honor and recognize each outstanding Dutch individual for their extraordinary achievements by offering them a special luncheon”
