HM Queen Silvia of Sweden and HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden Visit the City of Helsingborg.

On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden and Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden visited the city of Helsingborg on the occasion of the international city fair, H22.

H22 is a 35-day international city fair held in Helsingborg. The purpose of the H22 Fair is to “…develop future solutions that will give the inhabitants of Helsingborg a higher quality of life and a smarter and more sustainable city…” notes the Swedish royal court. Crown Princess Victoria is Patron of the H22 Fair.

The day began with Her Majesty and Crown Princess Victoria attending the conference entitled, The Dementia Friendly City. The conference gathered various representatives from the Helsingborg municipality, politicians, and experts to discuss “…how the city and its citizens could help accommodate an aging population.”

Thereafter, Her Majesty Queen Silvia inaugurated the new senior housing complex, Silviabo Skrabelycke. Her Majesty also inaugurated The Garden of Memories and Knowledge, in Husensjö Park. The garden was designed especially for individuals with cognitive illnesses.

Meanwhile, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria visited the environmental technology facility, Recolab.

In the afternoon, Her Majesty and the Crown Princess attended the inauguration of the H22 City Fair. In her role as Patron of the fair, Crown Princess Victoria gave the inaugural speech.
