On Monday, May 23, 2022, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands attended the King Willem I Entrepreneur Awards in Groningen.
According to RVD, the King Willem I award is presented every two years in the categories of large and medium-sized enterprises The Plaque for Sustainable Entrepreneurship also rewards sustainable innovations from small or large organizations. In recent months, companies have applied for the prizes. Three finalists have been selected in each category.
“The King Willem I Foundation was established in 1958 on the initiative of De Nederlandsche Bank by a number of organizations associated with the business community. The aim of the foundation is to give the national economy new impulses and thereby increase the prestige of the Dutch business community.”
The King Willem I Foundation is supported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. Her Majesty Queen Maxima is the Honorary President of the King Willem I Foundation.
