(VIDEO) HM Queen Margrethe II of Denmark Stars in the New Documentary, Kongeskibet: I Dronningens Tjeneste.

Tonight on DR.dk, a new four-part documentary will air entitled, Kongeskibet: I Dronningens Tjeneste (The Royal Ship: In the Queen’s Service) produced by JJ Films and DR.dk.

The documentary follows Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and the crew of the Royal Yacht Dannebrog during the 2021 summer sailing season.

Since 1932, the Royal Yacht Dannebrog has sailed more than 800,000 nautical miles. The yacht has visited the majority of the the ports in Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands as well as ports in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and East Coast.

In celebration of the 90th anniversary of the Royal Yacht Dannebrog and as the 2022 summer sailing season begins next week, this season Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and the Royal Yacht Dannebrog will visit the municipalities of Elsinore, Anholt and Aarhus. The Royal Yacht Dannebrog will also take Her Majesty to the municipalities of Slagelse, Lolland and Frederiksberg later this summer. Her Majesty will also visit the Tønder Municipality to attend the postponed events from the celebration of the Reunification 1920.
