On Wednesday, May 18, 2022, Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte of Denmark began her two-day visit to the island of Sylt in Northern Germany.

Yesterday, Princess Benedikte met with the island’s “…Danish and Frisian minorities and heard about their culture and history…” according to the Danish royal court. The princess also toured the List Kulturhus, visited Røde Klev and the Danish fashion store, Simonsen by Simonsen.

The day ended with a visit to the museum Alt Friesisches Haus in the town of Keitum and a party at the Hotel Benen-Diken-Hof in honor of Princess Benedikte’s visit to Sylt.

This morning, May 19, the princess visited a kindergarten and the Sylt Danish School which recently undergone “…extensive renovation…” according to the Danish royal court.
