On the morning of Monday, May 9, 2022, Her Majesty Queen Letizia of Spain accompanied by the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Mr. Reyes Maroto, and by the United States Ambassador to Spain, Ms. Julissa Reynoso, attended the conference entitled, Competitive Advantages of Filming in Spain: Shooting in Spain, Focus on USA, held at the Auditorio ICEX in Madrid. The conference is being held under the framework of a “…promotion plan for the audiovisual sector…” according to a press release for the conference.

Organized by ICEX, the conference consisted of several round table discussions regarding the state of the audiovisual industry in Spain, including its:

“…strengths, business opportunities, as well as the advantages for the making of movies and entertainment content. Spain has a rich and varied selection of filming locations safe and easily accessible, along with some very attractive tax incentives which make the country an exceptional destination when it comes to filming, television, and advertising”.
